Camila is Lorna Killer in modern low mana battles?! (weekly challenge)

This summer, so many things happening in Splinterlands. New partnerships, new chaos legion legendary summoners are coming out regularly, rift watchers are getting close, also we're expecting splinterfest in Las Vegas in a few short months. It's a great time to be here with splinterlands!

Today, I wanted to share 2 battles that shows Camila Sungazer is fighting well against the meta summoner Lorna Shine.

Strategy

In modern low mana battles, these 3 set ups are very popular.

• Lorna shine opportunity and/or sneak
• Water sneak
• Mylor, magic, archery
• Lama - last stand

When you're expecting Lorna shine on the other side in modern low mana because of the ruleset or available splinters, they're most likely to use melee monsters like Celestial Harpy, Stich Leech, and Uraeus.

Camila Sungazer is very effective against them because Camila reducing their melee attack by 1 is very big.

(FYI: In wild, low mana archery is popular because of Selenia Sky)

In this battle, the opponent used Camila Sungazer against me.
This was a very good battle that taught me the power of Camila.

Closing remark

Before the modern format, I almost never used Camilar Sungazer. However, I found that it can be powerful in low mana battles when you're expecting a melee on the other side. Also, I use it sometimes in silenced summoner because it is just 3 mana and it's the dragon, so Camila allows you to use dragon monsters.

It is still a niche card but it's good to know about the situations that the card can be useful.
