Splinterlands Allows Revive without using resurrect?

Hello! Are you excited about the new reward change that happens in a few weeks? I know I am!

Today, I want to share a rare battle scene where a monster revived without actually using resurrect on that monster!

I ran into this battle when I was watching the recent modern diamond league tournament battles.

Let's look at the battle!

It happens in rounds 2 and 3 when the Shieldbearer and Kralus die exactly at the same time.

Please take a very close look at the Shieldbearer who should have died but instead gets a life back!

1. Shieldbearer and Kralus die exactly at the same time

Grum and Djinn infirni have Giant killer ability, so the blast damage became double and that's the reason why Bubke killed 2 monsters at the same time.

2. Kralus removed from the battle field first

3. Kralus gets revived from resurrect

At this time, the shieldbearer is still 0 health.

4. Kralus gives 1 hp to every friendly monster, shieldbearer gets a life back!

So the shieldbearer got 1 hp back even after his life became 0.

If I was the player, XAWI, I might think "oh it's just how the game works"

However, if I was the player BUBKE, it would be annoying because I already reduced 11 hp (including +1 hp from Kralus strength). Why would I have to do 12 damage to the shieldbearer? It's not really fair that strength gets applied twice.

The same thing happens again!

Kralus was resurrected.

Shieldbearer gets 1 more HP.

Because of that, the shieldbearer didn't die and absorbed extra 2 attacks!

Closing thoughts

My humble opinion on this is that it's just order of operation and this doesn't happen very often.

However, I always thought that it's weird that the monster that died second gets resurrected before the monster that died first when 2 monsters die at the same time.

I think it should be the opposite. Isn't it more natural to resurrect the monster who died first and then resurrect the monster who died second?

What is your opinion on this behavior? Let me know in the comment section.
