With the rise of the value of splinterlands asset, hacking incident of accounts also rise. Phishing sites are everywhere targeting your keys. And if this happen to you. Developer cant interfere! Remember that splinterlands is a decentralize game. Maybe They can freeze your account if transfering your assets by the hacker is on process but returning what is already taken is impossible. So protect your account at all cost.
Here are some tip that can help you to add securiy on your in game assets.
● Never use the same password on your email and splinterlands account.
once the hacker crack your splinterlands password. He cant transfer any asset unless he will get your keys. To do that the hacker need to request your keys and will be sent to email connected to your account. So when you have the same password on email and account. Hacker have full control on stealing your assets.
● Try to change your password every month for extra security
You can delete yout account keys ingame so no one can request it again but make sure to keep it safe because if you lost it, even the developers can retrieve it for you
● in-game lock cards feature.
*For those who didnt know. You can locked your cards in specific days. Means even you cant transfer it or post it for sale in the market place. Just click on your card and look for the padlock icon on the right. *

yes, staking your SPS gives you extra security for your tokens. Since it will take 4 weeks (1 month) before you can withdraw the full SPS that you staked.
