Today I'm going to talk about an incredibly useful chaos legion card that belongs to the water deck but you may already know him, this card is the Flying Squid and I intend to talk about its usefulness in battle and also show him in one, so follow me on this one post.

The Flying Squid is a common card from the chaos edition and belongs to the water deck but I've mentioned it before and the question is: what makes it so useful? the answer to that lies in your stats and abilities and that's what I'll talk about below.

It is a very common card to be used nowadays as it belongs to the chaos legion edition, but its true utility will be at its highest levels. Let's start by talking about your stats.

As you can see it is a card with melee attack, but its greatest utility is not in its attack but in its life which is quite high and it also has a good speed but it is still a good card to deal damage since its attack is not low and he gets even more amazing with his abilities.

The first one is Reach and this ability makes Flying Squid attack from second position, so it will be a great ability for him to stay in that position and also serve with a great defense.

The second one is Blind and this is a somewhat unknown ability since it is not used much but it is amazing because with it all enemy cards gain + 15% chance to miss attacks and this may seem few but it is incredibly useful and will make them miss many times during battle.

The third one and also useful is Backfire and this ability makes the Flying Squid do 2 damage whenever it dodges an attack, so it will be very useful to damage enemy cards as it will dodge a lot of attacks.

Now let's talk about the battle.

For this battle I chose the summoner Alric Stormbringer that grants +1 magic attack to all allied cards on the field so he will be a great choice to increase the attack of these cards.

In the first position I chose the Flying Squid, although it is a better choice to put him in the first position I thought that for this battle he would be a great defense for the first position so I put him in it, but it is an incredible card that does good damage and dodges many attacks, in addition to having a lot of health.

In second position I put Nerisa Tridawn which is a card with magic attack that has a lot of health so it will be a good defense for this battle and also cause much more damage thanks to Alric Stormbringer.

In the third position I put Deeplurker which is a melee card with a lot of attack so it will be very useful, in addition it attacks the enemy card with the lowest health since it has the ability Opportunity and it also has the ability Poison which has a chance to cause even more damage to the card if the effect is applied.

In fourth position I put Pelacor Bandit which is a melee card with a lot of attack and speed so it's very useful and has the ability Flying that increases your chances of dodging attacks from cards that don't have that ability.

In fifth position I put Venari Wavesmith which is a very useful magic attack card since it has the ability Protect that grants +2 shield to all allied cards and also the ability Dispel that makes it clear all positive stats from enemy he attacks.

In sixth position I put Water Elemental which is a ranged card with the ability Heal that makes it heal based on its maximum health which is very useful and also the ability Dodge that increases its chances of dodging melee and ranged attacks.

In this battle my opponent chose Summoner General Sloan which grants +1 ranged attack to all his allied cards so my offensive power is quite high since he has many ranged cards and there is also the Aim True rule and it makes the cards rangeds always hit their targets which makes the Flying ability and even the Blind useless and so it has a big advantage over my team, but it also has a big disadvantage which is the fact that ranged cards don't attack in first position, for that if the first 2 cards are defeated he will start to be at a disadvantage.

As I have a lot of attack and my cards also have a lot of speed so it didn't take long for my opponent's first 2 cards to be defeated and thanks to that I started to have advantages, on the other hand my enemy's offensive power was very high and my Flying Squid didn't last long as the rule wasn't in his favor.

As soon as my opponent's first 2 cards were defeated and the ranged cards started to occupy the first position my opponent's offensive power was decreasing and his ranged cards had little life so it was only a matter of time for them to be defeated one after the other. another and I get the win.

In the third round the battle was over and the only card of mine on the field defeated was the Flying Squid but thanks to its high amount of life it managed to resist many attacks and this helped a lot in the battle and even though it was the only card defeated it was useful defending and dealing damage and I manage to win the battle.

It didn't show its full potential but it still remains an amazing card that whenever possible should be added to battles in the water deck because it will certainly make a lot of difference in battle.

LORE

Although Flying Squid are not truly capable of flight, their moniker comes from their ability to launch themselves from the water and glide above the surface for long distances before resubmerging. These aggressive predators shoot ink into the eyes of their prey to blind them before attacking with their lengthy tentacles.
The Chaos Legion captain stood at the helm of the ship, gazing out at the empty sea. The sky was an overcast gray, and a brisk breeze ruffled his hair. A large flock of seagulls skimmed the surface of the water, flying ever closer.

He squinted his eyes. The birds drew nearer. As they did, he saw they weren't gulls at all. They were white, yes, but instead of wings and feathers, they had smooth, sheeny skin and tentacles that waved through the air.

From high above in the ship's crow's nest came the cry of alarm. “Flying Squid, twelve o'clock!”

The crew sprang into action, but it was already too late. Before most could reach for their weapons, the squid were upon them. The creatures fired sprays of ink, blinding the men and women below. Those that were able to take up arms flailed uselessly at the creatures, who stayed just out of each, striking with their long and muscular tentacles.

The captain drew his saber and swung at a squid as it whizzed at his head. He missed, and it shot a stream of ink into his face. His eyes burned, and the blinded captain wiped at them futilely.

A tentacle wrapped around his ankle. Another encircled his wrist. He struggled, but his other ankle and wrist were soon grabbed by more tentacles.

They began to pull him apart and, oh, how he screamed.
