Good day everyone splinterlands community, zactian here. Today I'll blog about another weekly challenge, Battle Mage Secrets, and share my strategy.
The Silenced Summoners is the challenge, in which only the units are usable
on their capabilities, and no debuffs and buffs. I'll be playing Scholar Account from SDV-BLTZR (IGN: BLTZR-WIZARD-728). I found match-up grinding and will reveal my primary technique on this rule set. Comment below with your opinions on the potential lineups at this level.

Rule Set

image.png

  • Silenced Summoners
  • Briar Patch
  • Fire & Regret
The greatest choice is Dragon Element because it can increase the number of units from which to choose. And much possible you can choose 3 mana summoner extra mana cap for the units you want to choose.

The battle has a 57 mana cap to use summoners and cards. Water, Earth, Life, And Dragon elements are active in this battle and the rest is inactive. I was able to watch the opponent's history battle and most units' opponents use Immortalis and some units are pretty solid and expensive for me. I will be choosing the Dragon Element and combining it with the Life element, I assume that the opponent will also Dragon Element and combine it with either Life, Earth, or Water. So I will use the Dragon element this time because for extra units to choose from and some strong units are present.

As rule sets given I will try to avoid Melee and Range attacks because of Briar Patch, and Fire and Regret.

Note: I only have limited cards but useful in some rule sets and will try my best to win with existing cards. So if you want to have a high chance of winning then I advise you to rent or buy cards that are useful or stronger for most rule sets.

Quix the Devious

  • A great deal of the units are powerful, which is good for more units.

  • There is not much use of Debuffs/buffs because of Silenced Summoner so any summoner picking as dragon Element will be applicable. As mentioned earlier it is best to use a low mana summoner. For now, this is the summoner I have.

  • Life is combined because I'm planning to use the Iziar Unit for this battle and most strong magic units are found.

My Lineup

image.png

First position - Drybone Barbarian

Putting this in the position is good because of the 12 health with 5 melee damage and abilities Rage and a chance to Retaliate, Making this unit good for tanking and damage dealer. I hope it will tank against incoming attacks most of the round.

Second position - Void Dragon

It will act as a second tank after my Drybone Barbarian is executed. With abilities Flying, Void, and Phase which is good for tanking for most of the incoming attacks. After the Iziar is executed this unit will be stronger with a chance to miss incoming attacks +1 to all stats.

Third position - Iziar

Another tanking because of Void and Taunt's ability making it taunt the enemy units and target this unit. As for Martyr Ability, the 3rd position is the best strategy I have in mine, supporting my Void Dragon and Chaos Dragon.

Fourth position- Chaos Dragon

This is my core damage because of 4 magic damage with abilities of flying, Scattershot, Blast, and Blind. After the Iziar is executed then this unit will have additional +1 to all stats making it even stronger

Fifth position - Djinn Renova

Act as additional damage and support as this unit has Tiage and Strengthen Ability. It will be any unit that is lower than the original health specifically healing my Iziar Unit.

Last position - Adelade Brightwing

Another good support with the abilities of Resurect and Swiftness, Immunity and Repair are not much help but Resurect alone is a good ability to resurrect Iziar or Drybone Barbarian.

Link of the battle: RUMBLE

Analyzing Battle

The opponent uses also Quix the Devious Summoner and the Life element with most units being pretty strong. It shows that the opponents are mostly using Resurect Abilities which can be resurect the opponents 2 times which High Priest Darious and Adelade Brightwing units have. The opposing team also uses Martyr's ability which Iziard has adjacent is Bila the Radiant and Chaos Dragon. The opponent has some stronger units and I have a feeling of losing in this match because the opponent shows more resurrect abilities, I put luck and RNG (Random Number Generators) on my Scattershot ability from Chaos Dragon Unit hoping it will attack the enemy Adelade Brightwing and High Priest Darius by chance and the opponent did well displayed in positioning.

Effective or not?

In this match it is luckily effective, positioning my teams and utilizing the abilities that are helpful in this match, and taking advantage of Silenced Summoner, Fire and Regret, and Briar Patch. I was able to win because my Iziar unit did well boosting my Void Dragon and Djinn Renova. It is quite unexpected to see that my didn't work as I assumed that my Iziar would be executed first but my Djinn Renova was executed first then revived and Chaos Dragon the damage dealer instead of being defeated in the Third Round, I lost hope of winning when the Enemy Chaos Dragon defeats my Chaos Dragon. Void Dragon was able to miss most of the Magic attacks from Enemy Bila the Radiant and Chaos Dragon.

look how scary those Enemy Chaos Dragon 7 magic damage and Bila the Radiant 6 magic damage.😱

My Void Dragon to the rescue, MVP of my team units that tables to withstand those stronger enemy units.
😁

It was actually a good rule set with some good magic damage you have units as most players use magic then might as well use some countermeasures like what I did with Phase and Void ability. But in this battle, if my opponent changes the lineup of units then I might lose in this match. Most commonly I use Water element, but I have a feeling of using Iziar in this winning battle. If you want to use Water Line up please do check some of my blogs and I hope it will help you.😊
