Battle Mage Secrets: Rise of the Commons

image.png

Good day everyone splinterlands community, zactian here. Today I'll blog about another weekly challenge, Battle Mage Secrets, and share my strategy.
Rise of the Commons is the challenge, in which Common and Rare are only useable
in this battle, and it's a bit weird but it doesn't apply on Summoner if you use Legendary or Epic. I'll play my scholar account from SDV-BLTZR (IGN: BLTZR-WIZARD-728). I will reveal my primary technique in this rule set. Comment below with your opinions on the potential lineups at this level. Is it effective for this battle ruleset? Let's see and match up with the Rise of the Commons rule set.

Rise of the Commons

Only Rare and Common are useable in this battle

Rule Set

Explosive Weaponry

  • All units gain the Blast Ability

Born Again

  • All units gain the Rebirth Ability

Rise of the Commons

  • Only Rare and Common are useable

Recommended summoner to use Rise of the Commons for this match:

Dominating in Damage

  • General Sloan
  • Mylor Crowling
  • Underboss Fabino
  • Obsidian

Dominating in Debuffing buffing

  • Immortalis
  • Avina of the Wolf
  • Nomos
  • Ilthain

Dominating in Speed difference

  • Kelya Frendul
  • Lux Vega
  • Ilthain

The battle has a 56 mana cap to use summoners and cards. Only Water and Death elements are Inactive in this battle. I will be choosing Quix the Devius and combining it with the Life element as most lineups I remember and the best for best in speed and I'm planning to use most of the range units attacks because of how massive damage they will deal to opponents.

Note: I only have limited cards but they are useful in some rule sets and I will try my best to win with existing cards. So if you want a high chance of winning, I advise you to rent or buy useful or stronger cards for most rule sets.

Quix the Devious

  • Reducing Speed and Range by 1

  • Dragon with Life Element Combine for more units to choose

    • The element combined is Water because most of the units are found to be stronger and the units are good in speed with a chance of attacking first.

My Lineup

First position - Imperial Knight

  • Act as Taunt tank in the first position, giving that it has Healing and Void Armor and Magic abilities making it a good choice to be in first position.

Second position - Chaos Knight

  • Act as another tank because of Shield ability and Blasts Ability.

Third position - Supply Runner

  • Third position because of massive Swiftness and strengthened ability. It acts as support range damage for my team.

Fourth position - Pelacor Herbalist

  • My main damage for this team because of the Double Strike Ability and putting this position makes it feel safe from blast if the opponent uses Sneak or Front attacks.

Fifth position - Portal Spinner

  • An additional damage and the ability of Scattershot making it a good use of Explosive Weaponry Ruleset.

Last position - War Pegasus

  • The best tank in my team because of Flying Ability with 5 speed that can have a chance to miss incoming attacks and 4 range damage with Shatter Ability which is useful if the first position of the opponents uses Thick Armor.

Analyzing Battle

Analyzing the opponent team it chooses Obsidian, with obsidian most of these element units are high in Magic Damage but in low speed. The opponent line shows a nice idea putting the Mycelic Slipsawn in the front and Pelacor Mercenary in the second position as a tank because of the Explosive Weaponry Rule set. My only disadvantage at this is the Scavo Technoomancer abilities because of Blind and Rust abilities making my range attack a chance of miss attack even if the opponent uses slow speed it will still have a chance to miss my attacks. I still also have the upper hand because of Imperial Knight I use a good counter of Opponent magic units.

Effective or Not

It was a close call, my Chaos Knight was easily executed because of low health and some of my attacks were able to be miss because of the opponent's Blind ability from Scavo Technoomancer. I was luckily to win this battle with the use of Range units though its have some disadvantages if the opponent uses Immortalis then this battle I would probably lose.

I do like this rule set Rise of the Commons because I can only use some Common and Rare Units which I can also utilize a basic line up and assume the opponent will be using especially in the summoner I mention above.
