Good day everyone splinterlands community, zactian here. Today I'll be blogging about another weekly challenge, Battle Mage Secrets, and sharing my method.
The reverse Speed rule set is the challenge, and I'll playing the scholar account from SDV BALTHAZAR Modern League Currently in Champion (BLTZR-WIZARD-728). I was able to find match-up grinding and will reveal my primary technique. Comment below with your opinions on the potential lineups at this level.

Rule Set

• Equalizer
• Even Steven
• Reverse Speed
  This is good for any units that have low-speed and high-damage attacks.

The battle has a 25 mana cap to use summoners and cards. Death Element, Water, And Earth elements are active and cannot be used in battle. I was able to watch the opponents history battle and most units opponents use are not that strong with Even Steven cards possible outcome is quite predictable and I hope the opponent won't choose Immortalis in this match as I pick Obsidian Summoner which I only have for this battle for Reverse Speed. The water element is bad for this rule set as most of my units in water are in high speed so I didn't pick the water element for this match.

Note: I only have limited cards but useful in some rule sets and will try my best to win with existing cards. So if you want to have a high chance of winning then I advise you to rent or buy cards that are useful or stronger for most rule sets.

My Lineup

First position - Xenith Monk

• • Good for tanking for Magic attacks Void ability by 50%, healing per round after attacking, and Magic reflect ability if the opponents use magic attacks

Second position - Fungus Fiend

• • I was trying to avoid this unit in this battle because of the Slow ability in the Reverse Speed rule set but considering that the rule set also has Equalizer it will act as a tank after the opponent executes my Xenith Monk

Third position - Madcap Magus

• • Additional damage dealer with the ability Scattershot making it able to avoid attacking the first position of the opponent for I assume that opponent will put a tanking ability in first position and ability Life leach acts as a good tanking after defeating most of my units in front

Fourth position - Goblin Psychic

• • Putting this in position will make a good healing ability to my units in front as much as possible in the rounds, a chance of applying Affliction to the opponent to unable to use healing ability if there is, and Dispel ability is good for any positive effect of the opponent, especially like Bloodlust ability.

Last position - Magi of Chaos

• • This will act as my core damage as it has 4 magic damage + 1 my summoner Obsidian making it 5 damage and the Ability of Oppress will trigger if the opponent uses non-attack units in front

Analyzing Battle

The opponent uses Kelya Summoner which most of the units are strong with Deeplurker present in this battle but the rule set is in reverse speed and I guess the opponents think that the Deeplurker will take hits to my units and with the ability to help Baakjira. As expected some of the attacks from Deeplurker miss and some are able to hit with applying poison. It clearly shows that Baakjira easily gets executed to round 3 because of my core Damage unit Magi of Chaos. The opponent did well displayed in positioning but I out match the opponent and took advantage of the rule set.

Effective or not?

In this match it is effective, positioning my teams and utilizing the abilities that are helpful in this match, and taking advantage of Reverse Speed, Even Steven, and Equalizer rule set. My units did really well in this match especially the opponent used River Nymph and my unit is Goblin Psychic. The difference in speed is a good counter as you can see in the match the Baakjira didn't even heal in the match causing it to execute easily and I gained victory. Assuming on opponents what will be used is first to be taken as it will guide me in victory in most of the battles.

It was actually a good rule set but if my opponent has stronger units then I might lose in this match. Most commonly I use water elements and yes the Update that I saw is also a good unit to use in this battle with low speed, Bloodlust, Healing, Return Fire, Magic reflect, and Amplify abilities in the Reverese Ruleset.
