Good day everyone and Splinterlands community. Today's Blog highlight will be the Martyr's ability strategy vs the opponent's strong cards. In considering strategies life element units have shown to be rather adaptable, showing capability in ranged, magic, and melee attacks. Although the speed is not great, it is sufficient to use a support unit with Swiftness skills, such as Soul Fiend or Adelade Brightwing, if you wish to launch an attack first. When it comes to the Noxious Fumes rule set or Equal Opportunity, this combat martyr is one of the line-up strategies utilized. As a life element with Iziar, the Venari Marksrat may be used in either the high mana cap or low mana cap rule set. I will discuss my experience with Venari Marksrat in battle, how I used this martyr's skill, and how I matched up with a better opponent.

Grandmaster Rathe

Adds 1 armor with Void Armor and Amplify abilities to all friendly units.

This is a good summoner for utilizing the Adelade Brrghting for Repair Ability, tank-ish for my Uriel the Purifier.
Taking advantage of Armor and Void Armor for extra shield if the opponent prioritizes using magic attacks.
The only disadvantage about this summoner is the opponent's Shatter ability which can shatter my armor units after it hits. But I have feeling the opponent won't have that shatter ability because the Earth element is inactive and pretty rare if there is😅.

The rule set given is Equal Opportunity, Noxious Fumes, and Armored Up with only 47 mana-cap. Earth and Death elements are inactive in this battle.

My Simple Plan Line up

First position - Uriel the Purifier

• Act as a tank in the First Position, with a high chance of surviving most of the rounds because of Healing and massive health and armor.

Second position - Chaos Knight

• Acts as a tank in second position for those melee and range attacks and this unit has a Shield ability that reduces the damage of melee and range attack from the opponent by 50%. Note that I put this position because I don't want my Jared Scar or Djinn Renova to be defeated easily as they are the core damage of my team because of Equal opportunity and health difference.

Third position - Djinn Renova

• My support unit Maguc damages of my team with these abilities Triage and Strengthen are useful for surviving most of the rounds in the Noxious Fumes rule set and can be the main magic damage as it has 4 magic damage.

Fourth position - Venari Marksrat

• I plan to utilize martyrs ability which is why Venari Marksrat is in the team with Djinn Renova and Jared Scar in adjacent, which will give 1 to all stats after this unit is executed. A good combo for Noxious Fumes and Equal Opportunity.

Fifth position - Jared Scar

• My main melee damage of my team with strong abilities, Bloodlust, True Strike, Piercing which is the perfect combination for the Equal Opportunity rule set.

Last position - Adelade Brightwing

• Another support of my team, which increases speed to all my friendly units. Putting this in the last position is good because of the Health difference in Equal Opportunity

Selecting a useful ability in this battle with a good amount of damage will increase your chances of victory in this type of rule set.

Will my strategy line up work?

The opponent seems to use Grimbardun Smith, Rage, Evelyn Auvera, and Harbinger of Chaos, which are strong cards with useful abilities in this battle. Still, Picking Grandmaster Rathe is the right choice for this battle because opponents prioritize using magic damage with no shatter abilities. I think I'm gonna win this battle with my strategy of using Martyr's ability, well positioning of the team, and plan assumption. Rage alone is a scary combo with Grimbardum Smith that survives the rule set given, but I got Jared Scar on my team. Would likely easily defeat that Pelacor Conjurer and Grimbardun next.

What could we learn from this strategy?

Easy meal for my Jared Scar, this unit is the MVP of this battle carrying me winning the match.

Depending on the rules stipulated and the opponent's past battles, therefore be sure to research and evaluate the potential lineup you wish to utilize. Remember that to employ effective tactics, you must combine cards that have powers that are appropriate or beneficial for the given rule sets, place them in favorable positions, and get familiar with your opponent's lineup. Stronger opponent cards? you might still defeat and win it even with your basic lineup 🤗.
