Good day everyone and Splinterlands community. Today's Blog highlight will be the AVES STURGIS unit from the life element Soulbound card. Life element units have been pretty versatile when it comes to types of strategy whether in melee, magic, and range damage, especially combo a with dragon element. The speed is decent enough but not that high speed and need to utilize a support unit that has Swiftness abilities like Adelade Brightwing and Soul Fiend if you want to attack first. For this Aves Sturgis unit is dependable to use on certain rule sets and the history of the opponent if it is repeatable and predictable. I'll be sharing my battle experience with the use of Aves Sturgis utilizing this weapons training ability.

Quix the Devious

Decrease Range damage and Speed by 1.

This is a good summoner for reducing the speed of the opponent and if you assume that the opponent will prioritize use on-range attacks. An extra unit to choose from this dragon element and plan line up to strategy more and combine with the life element for it has decent speed compared to Earth element.

The rule set given is Equal Opportunity, Are you Not Entertained?, and All Healed Out with only 30 mana-cap. Earth, Life, and Dragon elements are active in this battle.
In this case dragon element is helpful for extra cards to choose from and combine with life for I plan to utilize Aves Sturgis's ability. My chosen plan lineup would like a hybrid kind of attack using Melee, Magic, and Range attack but my core damage would be Magic.

My Simple Plan Line up

First position - Chaos Knight

• Act as a tank in the First Position, I can't assume correctly if the opponent would prioritize in magic or range, so that's why I pick this as a tank for those melee and range attacks and this unit has Shield ability that reduces the damage of melee and range attack from the opponent by 50%.

Second position - Pelacor Conjurer

• My second tank Pelacor Conjurer, if my Chaos Knight is executed easily by the magic attacks from the opponent, this is a good combo with Weapons Training from my Aves Sturgis giving 3 magic to this nonattack unit. It acts as a second tank because of its ability that counter opponent magic units, the phase and magic reflect with decent speed.

Third position - Aves Sturgis

• My support unit damages of my team with this ability Weapons Training in magic type attack that can give also magic damage to the adjacent and the condition is it must be a non-attack unit to trigger this Weapons Training ability, it's also the perfect combo with either Chaos Agent or Pelacor Conjurer.

Fourth position - Helmet Kharafax

• I was about to choose Chaos Agent but I still have some remaining mana cap so I chose Helmet Kharafax which can be more useful than Chaos Agent. A Gladiator card and of course there is Bloodlust ability which can get even stronger when it defeats the opponent units, it will add 1 all stats. Also a good tank to those magic attacks because of Void and Scavenger abilities.

Fifth position - Prismologist

• Another support unit of my team that helps reduce magic damage to the opponent with this ability Silence, can also act as a bait if the opponent uses more than 5 attack damage because of the Equal Opportunity rule set given.

Last position - Naga Assasin

• Another support of my team, which increases speed to all my friendly units. Also, it can act as a tank in the back position because this unit has high speed and can do Backfire ability.

Selecting a useful ability in this battle with a good amount of damage will increase your chances of victory in this type of rule set.

Will my strategy line up work?

In terms of speed, I dominate the opponent in speed and Quite hardly also win if comparing in damage because I choose in Magic in Equal Opportunity Rule Set. As you can see the opponent uses Jared Scar who is a good combo for Equal Opportunity Rule Set. I didn't Invest my mana on Jared Scard in this rule set because quite predictable when life is active in the Equal Opportunity rule set, so instead of Jared Scar I chose Prismologist the Forcefield ability that can counter opponent Jared Scar's scary damage.

Well, it was expected that my Aves Sturgis easily defeated in the early round because of only with only 3 health which is an easy meal for the opponent Jared Scar. This is where my Prismologist useful ability to counter Jared Scar.

Let's not forget that I have a Helmet Kharafax unit that has Bloodlust ability on it, making it my Main Damage to my team per unit it defeats. Even the opponent legendary Doctor Blight is not enough to execute this lineup because of the tank's ability I have in line-up strategy.

What could we learn from this strategy?

Depends on the rule given and the history battle of the opponent so do check and analyze the possible line-up you want to use. It's important to keep in mind that to use efficient strategies, you must combine cards with compatible or useful abilities for the rule given, arrange them in advantageous positions, and learn your opponent's lineup. When applied properly, Aves Sturgis may be a very useful card in combat!
