Sailors tell many tales of the dangers of the Cruel Sethropods. Armed with strong pincers and teeth as sharp as spears, they attack anything that gets within range. It is nearly impossible to remove a Cruel Sethropod once it has latched on, and many a sailor has the scars to show where they ventured too close.

LINE UP AND POSITIONING

Summoner: KELYA FRENDUL

Reason for Picking:
I picked this summoner as it provides 2 additional abilities to all friendly monsters. The effects are plus one speed and plus one armor. This is the best option in my summoner for the water team. Also, based on my past experience that I played using this summoner as long as I have selected quite good number of units that also have great speed as their skill, chances of maximizing plus one speed is really an advantage.

First Position: CRUEL SETHROPOD

Reason for Picking:
A very cruel monster and indeed a skilled unit for the water team for only three mana cost. This unit's power of 1 melee, 1 speed, 3 armor, and 4 health really helps the team. Again, it's the best choice as a tank due to the ruleset and to get more flexible units to surround him.

Second Position: HARDY STONEFISH

Reason for Picking:
My 2nd tank in the second position. I picked this one mana cost unit for the water team again to maximize the mana cost allowed for this battle and to be able to save some mana for my 4 spots left.

Third Position: SERPENT OF ELD

Reason for Picking:
One out of three rare units for this battle and positioned in 3rd spot, to maximize the ruleset of Super Sneak. I put him in the middle to be my damage dealer for the back defender of my opponent. Also, it can be used as a tank.

Fourth Position: VENARI WAVESMITH

Reason for Picking:
The second rare unit for my water team is VENARI WAVESMITH. I picked him to provide two additional armor to all friendly units. His one magic damage will also help me to destroy my opponent's units without worrying about the enemy's armor. A perfect unit at the 4th spot and one of the flexibile units around CRUEL SETHROPOD.

Fifth Position: CREEPING OOZE

Reason for Picking:
A no damage monster but provides a slow ability to my opponent's units. His one mana cost helps me to select this unit for my team.

Sixth Position: XENITH MONK

Reason for Picking:
A rare neutral unit that can be use as a tank for only 4 mana cost. His 1 melee damage, 3 speed and 6 health is the right fit for my team on this kind of ruleset.

ROUND 1

Reaction:
KELYA FRENDUL VS TARSA summoner, 6 versus 5 monsters. Water Team against Fire Team. Let's Get it ON!

ROUND 2

Reaction:
My opponent units is down to 4 now and it seems my strategy is working according to my plan.

ROUND 3

Reaction:
My 2 units was eliminated in this round and its up to my remaining units how they will finish this battle good or bad.

ROUND 4

Reaction:
After 3 rounds, I manage to still have 4 units against one unit from my enemy. Few more hits from my team and this game will be over.

ROUND 5

Reaction:
Final round. His last unit is not enough to overcome my team and I claimed this victory again!

Battle Results Reaction:

This is a 5 rounds of battle that illustrates the effectivity of the units around each other. Understanding each unit and the proper positioning will definitely make a big difference especially in a 2 ruleset battle format.

My lineup consists of 4 water units and 2 neutral units. I picked up four melees, and 2 combo units.

Did your strategy work?

Yes. It works according to my plan and it feels really good.

What will you try differently next time?

For this kind of ruleset and mana cost battle type, I will stick with the same lineup. However, if the mana cost allowed will expand and the ruleset changes, I definitely change it and try to add more valuable units that can fit well together.

Do you like the CRUEL SETHROPOD? Why or why not?

Yes. CRUEL SETHROPOD is one of the good quality tanks around the water team and is more likely to use in a low mana cost battle.
