Countering Modern magic teams with Bone Golem and Torhilo

Due to the new rotation of starter decks, I've seen many fellow Bronze players start to "spam" Obsidian and place magic units like the dashing Regal Peryton and the cool goblin healer.

In this battle, I have realized that my opponent was using the new Earth summoner and magic units thrice in his/her recent 5 battles. Hence, I had a feeling they would be going for another magic setup. At that time, I forgot to rent Torhilo, as I love to use him as an anti-magic tank (with Bortus Summoner). Nonetheless, the battle had banned water units. As an alternative, I used a Bone Golem as my front line, followed by a Life Sapper. I was really relieved when the battle started as my opponent really did go with Magic units. My Thaddius Brood with a "-1" magic, coupled with Bone Golem's "Void" skill made their magic unit land a 0 damage on him.

After that battle, I went to rent a Torhilo immediately. A few rounds later, I found another opponent that was very likely to use a magic setup. This time, I put in Torhilo with Sandworm, Hardy Stonefish, and Giant Squid.

The reason why I put Sandworm was due to the ruleset: "Reverse Speed", which meant that the slowest unit on the battlefield will strike first, and the impacts on hit chance against it. For example, units with 1-speed will now be one of the fastest, and one of the hardest to get hit (except for magic attacks). With this ruleset, it is extremely beneficial for Torhilo and Sandworm due to both being a 1-speed unit.
