Battle Mage Secrets - Broken Arrows (DE/EN))
Intro
In anderen Worten.
Aber was sollst, Glück gehört dazu!
Fazit

Today's Ruleset
Today's ruleset is Broken Arrows. This ruleset basically just says that monsters with ranged attacks can't be used.In and of itself pretty clear up to here.
As always, you need to pay attention to what other rulesets Broken Arrows is combined with.
General strategy
It is difficult to give a general tip without knowing the other rulesets. In order not to say anything wrong, I would go for a healthy mix of melee and magic fighters. I would leave the choice of element and summoner open, as this is really very ruleset-dependent.
Good to know
The ruleset only affects the choice of monsters, not the summoner. General Sloan for example remains playable. But be careful, he won't do you any good without the monsters you need. This tip clearly belongs in the beginner's drawer, that's for sure, but how often did I make this mistake at the beginning, playing exactly the summoner that brings me nothing.
Secondly, it is important to know that monsters with 2 attack types, one of which is ranged, cannot be used. So monsters like the new Drybone Raider are not playable in this ruleset.
Today's battle
Manacap, Rulesets and choice of elements
Broken Arrows is included as you know and has already been explained. In addition, there is Equalizer which says that the initial life points of all monsters are equal to those of the monster with the highest base life points in both teams. In other words. Everyone has the same and high life points. This ruleset then allows you to play smaller monsters that would otherwise die relatively quickly. I like to play smaller support monsters on these occasions. I'll illustrate exactly what that looks like in the following point.
Looking at the elements, I would exclude Life (white) since my deck is more focused on ranged attacks. I decide for Water because I see the most flexibility there.
The lineup
As briefly mentioned above, in today's rulesets I suggest a mix between melee and magic damage, with a dash of support. In my setup, I assumed that my opponent would follow similar tactics. That's why I chose Kelya Frendul, since he deflects a melee attack with the extra shield.
As a tank I play Djinn Oshannus. He deals quite well and has a lot of health. With his abilities, he can competently tank the magic damage where I assume my opponent plays it, and the shield from the Summoner gives him some ability to withstand a melee attack.
Nerissa Tridawn, along with Djinn Oshannus, should deal out nicely. Directly minimize the life points of the opponent.
The Deeplurker is then responsible for the melee damage. In my eyes an "auto-include". 4 damage with opportunity and 7 life just strong. Later poison is added, but were unfortunately capped in the league.
Actually I would have added another melee fighter, but the rulesets allowed me to make extensive use of my support units. So I added a healer (Merdaali Guardian) and a blacksmith (Scavo Hireling) to my team. Both with the task to keep my tank alive.
The last one is the Hardy Stonefish. His task is to repel monsters with Sneak.
The battle
When I saw the opponent's lineup, I didn't really know if it was "yikes or yikes". In any case, I was right in assuming that my opponent would play a melee - magic combo. Unfortunately for him, his magic monsters don't do any damage to my tank, the Djinn Oshannus. Accordingly, my team would really only have to worry about Uriel the Purifier and the Cave Slug. I also think that Uriel hurts his team, since he only attacks every other turn. But that's just a feeling. Let's take a look at the game together: https://splinterlands.com?p=battle&id=sl_820bc0fe2908a56bfeb4e114ff0ec62a&ref=zephid83
Uriel couldn't withstand the pressure, and once he fell, it was really just a formality, as the opponent's damage was simply not enough. Because Uriel only attacked every other turn, the Scavo Hireling was able to add the shield to my Djinn again, which allowed me to tank the incoming damage efficiently.
Accordingly: game, set and match.
Well ... I must admit ... there was also a bit of luck involved. But what the heck, luck is part of the game!
Conclusion
I find the ruleset Broken Arrows rather average and does not restrict in my opinion. There are enough alternatives and you don't have to rethink too much with this ruleset.
