To master the 12 Mana battles we have to find out how those teams fare against each other. To achieve that I used Splintertools.io new custom battle training tool to analyze the matchups. I rounded to 0.1 steps so it doesn't get bloated. So some 100% win chance fights might be 3-4% battles for the weaker team not 0% fights.

Notable:
Power of Speed:
D4/D5 vs W3, 1 speed makes all the difference Death elemental gets 1 attack of before Deeplurker kills it, Life Sapper dies without firing this turn a nearly 100% win into a 100% loss.
Clearly Obsidian is the best team possible in a vacuum, but since the meta is so thaddius heavy and obsidan is basically dead in the water against it it's hard to choose obsidian.
So let's reduce the table to only include the strongest decks.
D1 | D3 | D5 | G1 | G3 | E1 | Winrate | |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
D1 | x | 0 | 0.2 | 1 | 0 | 1 | 44.00% |
D3 | 1 | x | 1 | 0 | 0 | 1 | 60.00% |
D5 | 0.8 | 0 | x | 1 | 1 | 0 | 56.00% |
G1 | 0 | 1 | 0 | x | 1 | 0 | 40.00% |
G3 | 1 | 1 | 0 | 0 | x | 0.1 | 42.00% |
E1 | 0 | 0 | 1 | 1 | 0.9 | x | 58.00% |
So the strongest deck now is the meta deck aka D3, counters are both Arnak decks due to the armor, that's why G3 is, in my opinion, the second most played decked. So what beats D3 and G3, you got its G1. So is G1 the best deck? No! Is it the best deck in the current meta? I think so!
Should you blindly spam G1? Hell, no. Try to switch it up at times and keep a close eye on potential meta changes. Keep in mind the Rock-Paper-Scissor wheel.
Thaddius > Obsidian > Arnak > Thaddius
