My First Ever Modern Ranked Victory!!! 🔥.
Hello splinterlands family hope you are doing well in the on going season and in the various league you are battling in? First,I welcome 🤗 you all to my blog @zusi78
Yesterday in my post, I mentioned how I battled my way up to Gold tier 1, in the frontier league for the very first time. #Splinterlands is a very complex game,it takes a lot of patience, strategy, spending and understanding to succeed in the game.
Ever since I have been battling,I have always concentrated in the Frontier league to develop myself and upgrade my cards,I don't bother myself with modern,wild, survival or even brawl.But today I said to myself let me play a game in the modern league,since I am grounded to some extent in foundation and have gathered some experience in terms of rulesets, selection and positioning of cards.And besides, I have some good cards in my foundation deck like SALTWATER MAGE AND MYSTIC SCALEWEAVER; my formidable magic attack monster.The two times I tried playing in ranked two seasons ago was a mismatch,I didn't even get past round 2, before I was dispatched like a parcel 😂.
Ever since then,I just concentrated on Frontier league.

In this game the mana cost was 75 and I ensure I selected good cards from my deck,by good I mean cards with high health and attack power since there was no standard rules and that even made me more confident.
My Archon was MARLAI SINGARIEL and before now I had these three conclave arcana cards;SUGARBLADE,TORRENT SNIPER AND IRONWING JUGGERNAUT,which I combined with my foundation cards, comprising of SALTWATER MAGE AND MYSTIC SCALEWEAVER.
THE BATTLE
Round1
You can see my opponent cards in terms of health is far superior than mine.
Round2
In this round he took out my tank, while I already eliminated his last position monster.
Round4
In this round I thought I hard lost the game, because it was four against two,but my two formidable magic attack monsters came through for me.
Round7
In this round it was already game over, because i had the upper hand.

I would strongly suggest seeking out a guild to join, as it will provide a small bonus to your rewards in ranked, a bump in earned SPS from brawl results, and the best reason, for more Splinterlands community and teamwork. I never would have persisted in this game if it weren't for support from my original guild @the420syndicate!

Do you use the app Discord? I would strongly recommend making a Discord account and then following the Splinterlands server. It is the place to get the most information and engage with the Splinterlands community. There is even a thread in the Discord specific for guild recruitment!
