Necrulencian Thief: Performance Review and Battle Impact.

The season has just 2 days and hours left before it ends. Three days ago, I resumed playing Frontier Ranked after dedicating so much of my time to Modern Ranked and Survival. It has been great in those tiers.

In doing so,I discovered some interesting monsters with amazing abilities displayed in battles.Scales of Justice (check it here) is one of them — a delight to watch because of its incredible dodge ability.Another one, and the reason I am making this post,is the Necrulencian Thief, as shown above screenshot.The most intriguing thing about this monster is that, after grinding hundreds of frontier ranked battles, I’ve never once faced an opponent using it.

In Frontier Ranked,when you attain and maintain the Gold level, your trophy count is reset to 2,500 at the start of every new season.
Right now, I’m at 3,420 counts, pursuing my target of 4,000. I hope I make it! 🎯

FEATURED CARD.
Necrulencian Thief is a Rare promo/Jackpot card from the Death element in Splinterlands. It belongs to the Human race/bloodline and was introduced as part of the Frontier Jackpot rewards in the Foundations set (often called "Foundations - Extra" edition).It is a high-mana melee attacker designed for flanking and consistent damage, making it a memorable pull for players. Many community members describe pulling it as exciting due to its rarity and gameplay impact.I am so lucky to have this card in my deck. Though at level 1 at the moment.

Key Stats (Base / Level 1)
Mana Cost: 8,Attack: 2 (Melee),Health:5 & Speed: 3,no armor.

Stats improve with leveling.
Attack and Health increases to 3 and 6 respectively at level 3.

Key Abilities.It has two abilities: Sneak and Poison.

At level 1(Bronze) it has the sneak ability already.Sneak — This monster will target the enemy unit in the last position (backline) unless a Taunt unit is present. Excellent for bypassing tanks and hitting vulnerable backline healers, mages, or ranged attackers or fragile support.

It gains the Poison ability at Level 4(max) (50% chance to apply Poison on attack, dealing damage over time).
Abilities

The combination of Sneak + Poison makes it particularly dangerous in prolonged battles, as it can ignore frontline defenses and wear down key targets.

MARKET VALUE.
Because of its scarcity,you hardly find this card to rent,the last time I checked,it is only available for sale.And you have it in regular,gold and black foil respectively.

Regular;Sells for $0.50

Gold;Sells for $4.20

Black;Sells for $40

Battle.
This is a very short battle of just 4 rounds.
The total mana cost was 28,and you are to choose units from water,life and death.
Ruleset are;

opportunity and up close and personal(you can only choose melee attack)

My summoner is Thagrimore with -1 health to all enemy units, while my opponent's summoner is incessant sage with +1 armor to all friendly units.

The Necrulencian Thief stands out as a flavorful, high-impact Rare Death card that rewards aggressive flanking strategies. Its rarity as a Jackpot promo makes it a prized pull, and its Sneak + Poison kit gives it strong late-game presence despite the steep 8-mana cost.
