Splinterlands:One Soothsayer Heals Them All!

Good morning warriors! It is mid-week already and five days into the new season.Welcome to my blog @zusi78 .
Majority of my wins in both Modern and Frontier ranked battles come from my Water deck. It's been carrying me hard, but I've always felt like something was missing for my damage dealers and frontline tanks — that dedicated, reliable healer support I already enjoy in my Death, Life, and Earth splinters.Where I have Satha Toledo, Arachne weaver, and meriput magician.
That missing piece? Anasth Soothsayer.
I just rented him, slotted him into my lineup, and paired him with Doomshield Warden in position 1. The difference was night and day,it was a total mismatch in my favor. While my tank soaked up damage, Anasth kept pumping healing into him round after round, keeping the Warden alive and healthy far longer than usual. My water monsters could focus on dealing damage without constantly worrying about the frontline collapsing.
Splinterlands is no walk in the park, but that's what amps up the excitement.A winning strategy weighs stats, abilities, rulesets, mana caps, and beyond. That's why you must factor them all into your deck building. Toss in strong cards to boost your setups, and push hard to rack up as many victories as possible! 🔥

FEATURED CARD:
Anasth Soothsayer is a Water Rare unit from the Rebellion edition. At just 6 mana, he's surprisingly easy to fit into most lineups, from medium to high mana battles (and sometimes even lower if you're creative).
STATS PROGRESSION AND ABILITIES. (Focus on max level).
Core Stats (at higher levels) 8, my focus point.
Low but consistent Magic attack (1),even at max.
Solid Speed (4)
Impressive Health that scales well (up to 9 at max level)
But the real value is in his stacked ability kit — one of the best support toolkits in the game:
At level 1(Bronze),it has just the Cleanse ability.
Cleanse, removes all negative effects (debuffs, poisons, etc.) from your tank at the start of the round. Huge against affliction-heavy or control decks.
At level 2(Silver),it unlocks the Tank heal ability.
Tank Heal: Every round, he restores a significant portion (about 1/3 of max health, rounded up) to your Position 1 tank. This is exactly what aggressive water decks need — sustained frontline longevity.
At level 4 (gold),it unlocks another ability called the Lookout.
Lookout: Reduces damage from Sneak, Snipe, and Opportunity attackers on adjacent units. It also gives your whole team half damage reduction from Ambush as long as he's on the field. Great defensive utility.
At level 6 (Diamond),it unlocks Dispel.
Dispel: When hits an enemy with his magic attack, he clears positive buffs (including Bloodlust and Martyr boosts).Annoying for opponents!
At max level 8 (Champion),it unlocks its final ability called Evade/Dodge.
Evade/Dodge (at max level): Helps him survive in the backline so he can keep healing.
He's not just a pure healer, he's a versatile support monster that heals, cleanses, disrupts enemy buffs, and adds team-wide defensive value. Many players call his kit "unbeatable" for a reason. He shines especially in prolonged battles where keeping your tank alive lets your damage dealers grind out the win.
CARD VALUE: This card is sold for $31.10 at max level( regular).

Battle, ruleset and lineup.
The total mana cost for this battle was 54 and you are to choose splinters from fire, water and earth unit.
The rulesets are;
All units have enraged and opportunity
My lineup
Summoner: Marlai Singariel (+1 Magic to team)
- Doomshield Warden (Tank, Melee) — Frontline defender.
- Thanalorian Scion(Magic, Void) — Strong magic damage with Void.
- Abyssal Elemental (Magic, Resurgence).
- Captain Fellblade (Magic, Opportunity + Strengthen) — Magic attacker with built-in Opportunity (synergizes with ruleset) and Strengthen, grans +1 max health to all allied units.
- Mystic Scaleweaver (Magic, Slow) — Magic damage + applies Slow (reduces enemy speed).
Anasth Soothsayer (Level 4, Magic, Cleanse + Tank Heal + Lookout) — My MVP support in this battle.
Opponent's Lineup
Summoner: Marlai Singariel. (+1 Magic to team)
Asel Alagosdil.Tank with Divine Shield.
- Ulindin Overseer (Assist tank, Flank) — Positioned to support or attack from side/flank.
- Daarg Deadblast. (Magic, Weapon Training + Swiftness) — Magic damage boosted by Weapon Training (extra damage)and high speed from Swiftness.
- Mystic Scaleweaver. (Magic, Slow) — Same as yours — applies Slow.
- "Warborn Shaman*.(Magic, Void Armor) — Magic damage with Void Armor (extra protection against magic).
- Shock Trooper.(Magic, Electrified) — Magic damage that applies Electrified.

The focus is solely on ANASTH SOOTHSAYER.
Round 1:Both tanks (Doomshield Warden vs Asel Alagosdil) absorbed initial hits Opportunity allowed both sides to snipe backline magic dealers quickly.
Round 1,Scene 16,He did cleanse on my tank and eliminated Shock trooper

From round 2 to 4,he kept my tank sustained with tank heal ability, while my other monsters completed the main task.

Game over,he was the MVP of this battle

My Experience So Far
Pairing him with Doomshield Warden, felt perfect. The Warden tanks like a champ, and Anasth ensures he stays topped up while cleansing any nasty debuffs. My water attackers (damage dealers) could go all-out without the constant fear of a quick tank death.
If you're running a Water deck and missing consistent tank sustain, especially in ranked,I highly recommend trying Anasth Soothsayer. Whether you buy, rent, or level one up, he fills that healer gap beautifully and makes your whole lineup feel more complete and resilient.
