Splinterlands: Unlocking Diamond 💎 III In Modern Ranked!

Good morning, my Splinterlands fam! This is @zusi78. The battles have been getting more intense and challenging, but after a lot of back-and-forth(win and lose),I finally unlocked Diamond III in Modern Ranked. I don’t have fully maxed legendary Archons and Units yet (my cards are still a work in progress), but I’ve come to love this #play2earn game so much that I pushed to Diamond through strategy, tactics, and synergy.
I’m not trying to downplay the goal of owning maxed cards — that’s still the dream. But when you don’t have them yet, you learn to find other ways to win.Reading posts from fellow warriors has been really helpful on my Splinterlands journey. One post by my friend @dewabrata — titled “Haram-Ball Team” — stood out. It was a 6 vs 6 battle where she used three units with tank heal abilities, focusing on defense rather than offense. And she won.
That’s the kind of thinking that helped me climb the ranks. Each battle,I try as much as possible to create a balance( Offensive & Defensive),when selecting my deck.
I know I’ll reach CHAMPIONS LEAGUE someday — 😂
Splinterlands is no walk in the park, but that's what amps up the excitement.A winning strategy weighs stats, abilities, rulesets, mana caps, and beyond. That's why you must factor them all into your deck building.Toss in strong cards to boost your setups, and push hard to rack up as many victories as possible! 🔥
Opening the loot.

After opening the chests I was really satisfied with what I saw. A Level 3 gold foil Husk Of The Hunter felt like a jackpot for me. Then the Merits — over 1k — had Gladius cases on my mind already 🤗. Overall, these are the best Diamond III loots I’ve gotten since I first reached the rank.
THE BATTLE THAT UNLOCKED DIAMOND 💎 III:
I’ve learned to read an opponent’s lineup the moment I see it — I can usually tell right away whether I’m winning or losing.

The total mana cost was 33, and splinters from all elements except Earth were allowed to be chosen. The rulesets are:
All units gain charge(can use melee attack from any position).
Noxious Fumes.
This match was swift and smooth. I had monsters with healing, resurgence, stun, and camouflage abilities in my deck. The Noxious Fumes ruleset can be difficult to deal with, but thanks to my resurgence monster, I felt confident throughout and eventually won.
Round 1, even with a 6 vs 5 line up, my stun monster was able to stop some of my opponent monsters from playing when it gets to their turn to attack. To me it was a 6 vs 6 contest because of my monster with the resurgence ability.
Game Over.
