May 14, 21: Routine, Mowing, Trading, DeFi Major Victory, SM Season End, and Games

Made it nearly to five this morning and only an hour short today. Actually made it the whole day without crashing too, I think that’s a couple days in a row now!

Usual morning usualness, except crypto looking pretty scary. We’re pushing lower lows, not the best sign, but we’ll see...Elon throwing his weight around a little so some big bois can buy the dip, likely.

Spent some time chatting over in The Man Cave and sold even more SOL, like 950! ☀️ 💪🤩 added new members and got them set up and got 100 Utopis for the Project. Right now I owe it 350 HIVE, just waiting to sell a LTC, they’re only $311 when they were more than $400 just the other day.

Did my post and that, but otherwise spent quite some more time stalking the tipCC trade server hoping for someone willing to swap for BNB. It took several days and more time than I would like to admit, but I got enough to get CubDeFi going...

Holy smokes!!! After much wailing and gnashing of teeth, I finally FINALLY got my wallet connected, got enough BNB to approve the contract, and was able to stake my CUB!!!

Now I’m catching the bug...getting addicted to checking it to see if I’ve earned any more. Only a penny or so, so far, but I only have a few CUB in there and was trying just to figure out how to get things to work.

I did discover that it’s possible to buy BNB through the Trust Wallet, but I stopped at the point that I was going to have to give a third party my credit card number. The minimum transaction is $50, which is a bit rich for my taste to try something, but I suppose it’s not a massive risk...more afraid of the possibility for unsolicited transactions.

I went over to the LEO AMA and it sounds like Kingdoms are going to allow cross-chain swaps, so I’m hoping this will allow me a way to take earnings from CUB back into HIVE...ultimately this would be my goal anyway and what deterred me to begin with (that they closed the bridge right after launch).

It is pretty frustrating not to be able to claim the rewards...well, not willing to pay $.25 to get a penny! Even so, getting everything done ended up costing a lot less in transaction fees than I had thought. Altogether $.9, and it was entirely from inside tipCC (airdrops and trading 🙂).

It was a really nice, sunny afternoon so I figured it best to get outside and stay on top of the yard. Did the back the other day (it was bad) but it hadn’t really been all that long since I did the front. It was mostly the weeds making it look unkempt. Wasn’t too bad, only took three loads. 👍

I got a long shower and used my new shaver to do the whole gourd. It worked a lot better with body wash than it did dry shaving, but I think it’s a good idea to get some proper shaving cream.

In the evening Wenche made steaks and fries for dinner and we watched Someone at the Window, at least until I passed out like half way through.

Pa-shaw! Still, gerbeard hit me up again, so I’m going to hold my tongue.

It was suuuuper tight in the Holybread arena again today, but I did get my tasks done. It seems they may have allowed us to choose to buy potions with gold, which is awesome! I’m all set for my next refill.

I did try to punch upwards some, but no go, have to be satisfied with fifth for the time being.

Collected up my brew on CryptoBrewmaster and got it sold out. Just a regular lager this time, so about 3.5 CBM, give or take, after repairing the brewery. I did a quick check on the market and I could withdraw around 1.9 HIVE worth, but still just waiting for now...not sure for what.

No playing any Splinterlands today, of course, just waiting out the clock until the season ended.
