Splinterlands Season End - Rented to Silver III Rewarded with 2 Venari Crystalsmith

avatar

As part of my Season end rewards, I received two Venari Crystalsmiths part of the Life Splinter. This provided me enough cards to level it up to level 2. The level 2 Venari Crystalsmith gains an extra speed for a total of 3 which speed in your cards is always a good thing.

Season End Performance Report

I ended the Season in the Silver III League with a rating of 1401. I won far fewer matches than in season past and my Win/Loss ratio was lower. I was able to win 179 of my 371 matches with my longest win streak of 8 matches. I fought 48 matches less than I did last season.

Season End Rewards

I was not going to make the same mistake as last season so I individually rented my cards to get me up to Silver III. I opened my Season End Loot Chests and I was pleasantly surprised.

My rewards were better last season when I only opened 18 loot chests. Here are all the rewards I received in my Season End Loot Chests. In all, I received 7 cards - 2 Rare and 5 Common, 12 DEC, and 1 Legendary and 2 Alchemy potions.

Season Rewards Report - Cards

I was able to complete almost one daily quest per day. It took me six days to get from Bronze back to Silver III. I was rewarded 7 cards in my daily loot chests. Last season, I was awarded 20 cards for my dailies however I had gotten up to Silver I the last three of last season. No gold cards this season so still hoping for some in the near future.

Matched Win Rewards

With 179 wins that I was able to have this season, I received 446 in DEC rewards. 1,200 fewer than last season. The total rewards I received this season was valued at 1022 DEC which was 2000 lower than last season.

Rented Into Silver III

I rented enough cards so that I could be in the Silver III League. Renting cards is a balancing act between the cost of rentals and the DEC you win during ranked matches. I was burned last season when I rented up to Silver I. The cost of rentals ate into the higher DEC Ranked Rewards. This Season I played it much safer and stayed into Silver III

It appears some of the rental expense from last season is shown on this seasons report. Probably for the first day which I was not able to cancel. I am also letting any cards I have currently rented expire unless they have a high CP/DEC rental ratio and once I get back up to a high enough rating,

I will rent the power needed to be in the next level but probably will not rent above Silver III. I only have slightly over 7,000 power so must rent the balance of 15,000 to be in Silver III.

It looks like you were about break even after renting out the cards for collection power from your ranked battles and chests. The rest of the cards and potions would probably be your profit. So either way, good job on the season.

Execelent job with getting back into Silver III. Great pull of cards in the season end rewards. It is interesting playing against the new cards. Do you have a favorite new summoner?

Thanks. The new cards are throwing my lineups off so I need to get more familiar with them and see which combinations work best. Do you have a favorite splinter with the new cards?

Before Chaos Legion, my favourite was probably Water followed by Life. With the new cards, I can't really say I have a favourite yet, as the type of battles decide which splinter I have to use.

If I am going for Melee, it's Fire or Water. If I am going for Ranged, it's Life. And if I am going for Magic, then it's Earth. If I am going for a mixture, it's Death or Dragon.

The power limits are tough now. I'm going to have to start from scratch with this new set.

I am trying to watch the new cards that everyone is playing against me and then taking note how effective they were. I have not been very good at this yet. It will take me time to get use to them.
