This is why I'm stepping down as the OneUp Cartel social media manager
The OneUp Cartel is doing awesome!
Everything that has been brewing and building in the @oneup-cartel is been amazing. The curation accounts are doing great and making sure that every delegator is receiving awesome curation rewards.
Gamers united in the very crowded Discord server and you can find some intel there every now and then too as people that hang out there are well connected. If you love gaming, and haven't managed your way to the discord yet, I'd say check it out. I believe that the cartel will grow exponentially in the near future and that soon the daily users in discord will explode. Luckily, they have divided everything into channels, so you can just jump right to the relevant channel and mute the other notifications if you like.
More games are added to the cartel operations list
I love how they have appointed a special operator to be in charge of the cartel's account in that game. This person writes weekly updates and so everyone can stay up to date. The art that's provided by the cartel is amazing! I love how everything matches so well and it's very recognizable for outsiders that this content belongs to the cartel. Did I mention that the art is amazing already? :)
So why did I put down my work then?
The biggest reason is simply because we decided to move to Spain within the next 2 months instead of the end of summer, as planned originally. And while I could manage things until recently, as nothing was set into motion yet officially, now that I have to actually take action on a lot of things, it also means I'm consuming so much information (often about things that I never had anything to do with, or yet have to learn about). This would not be such a problem if I had free time, but I don't. I have our daughter to take care of, the work for CineTV as a social media manager as well as building something with my Listnerds team. These are actually my main sources of income on Hive, and these are two things that I don't want to part with, I'm too passionate about both.
Gaming totally vanished to the background
Although I have Splinterlands cards, bought into ChiFi Bots, have LVL and THGaming tokes, I can't push myself to focus on these games at the moment. When you are dealing with real life tasks that have a deadline and need attention or otherwise things will collapse, you have to prioritize. So I had to let @flauwy know that I just can't keep up with the cartel currently. I hated to say that I was going to quit, but I worded it in a way that I already hoped we mutually agreed that it's best for both parties to put down the tasks. And thankfully, that's what happened.
I don't like quitting
While realizing that it was getting a bit overwhelming, I decided to see if I could make it easier on myself first. A week ago, I started creating a sheet with all games related to the cartel that I could use when needed. For myself, it was not an option to lay down the tasks while I just recently started. I had to have it up and running with awesome numbers to show first. That's just who I am.
Don't get me wrong, the engagement rates are GREAT and the followers have almost doubled since I started, it's just lack of daily activity from my side and giving it that extra special love, going the extra mile. I can't commit to that in the next few months, and I think by quitting, at least they can find someone that is very dedicated and maybe even more connected to all the games that are being shared. One thing that's for sure, you won't have to worry about having awesome graphics!
Fun fact
I almost published this post in EXHAUST, not because it fits there, but because I feel exhausted and it grabbed my attention when I browsed through the communities I could select. This made me laugh, and realize at least I can still see the funny side of it and probably tomorrow will be a better day if I just accept today I'm not operative at 100%.
Final note
I'm very grateful for the opportunity @flauwy has given me and I wish the cartel all the best, I'm still going to be curating for the cartel, but that will also be a little on the lower side for now. Less hunting for content but more rewarding the content that I was already reading. Once things have settled down, I can pick up speed again.

Thank you, I'm very well aware that it's best for everyone as I would hate number to go down while the cartel is thriving. This was the only right decision for all of us.
And thank you for the good luck wishes, gonna need it. The next weeks will be crazy and probably very stressful but once things are slowly being wiped off my to-do-list, I will start to relax a bit :)

It is not easy sometimes to make such decisions, I had to put down some things myself in the past.
It is better to know our limits and let it go some things even if it's sometimes it can make you feel that you fail or so but being honest with others and talking about it I believe that makes us trustworthy that to take responsibility and do a bad job because of lack of time and/or resources.
It is better to avoid being overwhelmed than to turn into something bad like burnout!

You know exactly what I mean as you've experienced it too. But indeed it's better to prioritize before being completely burned out. I hope I was still on time as I admit sleeping all mornings the past few days, just can't wake up. Which I had as I value my mornings!

Completetly understandable! Been having the same issue when it comes to reply on time so it's all good! We do our best but unless there's 48 hours in a day or we can clone ourselves, we have to do what we can!
And sleep is important! Been sleeping about 4/5h a night for the last few years and it's starting to get me so sleep as much you can when you can ahaha

Well I have to prioritize to optimize and if my brain isn't even able to read a simple post to find related tags for a Tweet, that's defo a sign that I'm overloaded. Although I know it's the best thing, and not a failure, I wished it had been different. But then again, if I had known that we'd be moving sooner, I'd not taken the task upon me. Such is life, things change and in this case, it's 100% for the better of our family. And I really need to be able to think and process the things around the emigration :)

Thanks, and that is absolutely true! I did not see this coming at all, although I was truly hoping something would happen that we were going to be able to arrive before summer. Seems like that's going to happen after all. But it also means quitting this job. Too bad, but such is life :)
You will be missed but the move to Spain sounds exciting. I have never been to Spain but I have heard it is a beautiful place with wonderful food.
Things happen and it's better to let them know early than just to up and disappear on them. So I hope you gave the cartel enough time to find a replacement. Of course, real life always has a priority over the things we do digitally.

Yeah, you also know the pressure and stress when moving countries, and in your case maybe even continents? At least this is within Europa and a country that I've already lived, but back then we just went there and took care of things there as they came, totally different story now business-wise.

Priortize, a very important concept that one needs to have or things can be overwhelming. One must put their family first.
You have done a great job with your building your ListNerds team. While I'm not a part of your team, I have found your content very interesting and quite rewarding, and I have been a part of listnerds since long before it came to the blockchain.
