Regret, FOMO...Whatever you choose to call it...Can destroy you!

The 'What If I Did This' syndrome is alive and well, not only in the crypto space but also in online entrepreneurship.

"I should have bought that token yesterday...."

"That's an opportunity I shouldn't have given up so soon..."

If you know anything about my business, we create little side projects on top of the main websites we own. One of those little projects is something we called 'Plus 1 Success'

Here's the overall idea of our site...Be better at sunset than you were at sunrise. In a nutshell, always be trying to improve. The problem with that savvy advice is...Well...We're human.

Regret keeps creeping into our minds and the FOMO becomes real.

In my case, I had recently sold one of my all time favorite Splinterlands cards. On one hand, I was happy to get a price more than I anticipated and I had planned on selling it for months now. Good deal right?

But here comes the regret....That was MY FAVORITE card and here I was letting it go when it might go to 50k in the next year.

If I would have kept that frame of mind up, I more than likely would have gone crazy. You see, in business and even in the crypto space, I have found the best way to handle a decision is to...Live with it.

Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, but I try my best to never think 'what if I didn't do this or that'. And it's hard...Like, another level of toughness lol

We make decisions each and every day, and when you think about it...We are the sum, right now today, of every decision we have ever made. It's brought us to this point.

And here's the true blessing in this...If you are reading this, you are ALIVE! Which means you can step up big and 'Plus 1' today. Be better at sunset than you were at sunrise...And if you make a decision, live with it.

It's not always going to be a win. Heck, most times in entrepreneurship it's a loss. But you learn from it. You grow. You attempt to better each and every day...

God put our eyes in the front for a reason...We must always be looking forward!

This is comforting. It reminds me of the fail fast, fail forward model. Failure is inevitable at some point but how do you choose to look at it as your own man. Those gems you dropped are not limited to crypto but span across life. Something will always be better than what you settle for. But hey if your settled for it that's the only thing that was there and the best and possible option at the time, cheers to being alive and trying again

For sure!

Not just in crypto, like you said...All aspects of life.

Yep, I still have those moments but quickly have to correct myself and remember what it was like during that time and the situation at the time. It's always easy to say after the fact and it will destroy your will power. Kick it out of your life and continue to move forward as best you can.

lol, so true! I have let tokens go too soon, or held too long so many times! But it's all about learning!

True :) I didn't lose, I did get a profit. Just nowhere near the maximum. But the knowledge was definitely valuable too

I’m fighting this right now with some buys and sells I’ve done.

My wife is always good to point out that we can only look to the future! Without her I’d probably be depressed all day!

And that's the easiest 'way'...Just sit on the sidelines and watch.

It's basically the truth, sometimes we make decisions to sell, only to keep thinking if we haven't made a bad call or if we could have gotten more in the future. The truth is,we win, we lose, it's inevitable with crypto, can't keep winning everytime.

The most important thing, is that even when we lose...We keep trying! It always seems to work out.

That's a good point. No one knows what's going to happen. FOMO could easily turn into FUD. Just got to keep learning and keep stacking.

I agree. You can't do anything about the past so you should just look forward. There are always opportunities available so you should just find the next one.

True words and indeed the aim to Be better at sunset than you were at sunrise should be a driven force in everything we are doing. Emotions are sometimes overwhelming us, but having such a mindset will help us prevail and keep our sanity in this volatile crypto market.

Without a doubt, there is no need to "cry over spilled milk" but to move forward with clear objectives.
My economic philosophy is quite simple. I set a goal that fulfills my aspirations and I go towards it until I achieve it. It doesn't matter if I could do better, if I can, I'll be where I wanted to be. From there I can mark another higher goal.

That's why goal setting is so important for me...Lets me navigate the ups and downs. But keeping my eye on the prize!

Decision making really matters a lot in a particular situation which we definitely need to think properly before making steps, though we are not perfect but working towards achieving success will be worth it if the idea of not giving up is eradicated.

The thought should cross someone's mind as a last resort. Never give up!

There is no point to get upset. But just keep on thinking about it, eventually you try and forget a bit. If you don't know then it's ok until you do. I bought waves a while ago. I just left it in my wallet. I transfer it from Binance (I don't use it anymore). I think that the price was at least $30 that's when I start to realized I had some waves token. But I deleted my app, I have so many crypto apps. Then I reinstalled the wallet app but I can't find my passphrase anywhere. So I checked my binance transaction id to see the Blockchain address. But no passphrase no use. So the idea is not to dwell on it !

Absolutely agree 👍 You have to look forward. You cannot change what you have done in the past. You can learn from your past to make you future better.

Embrace your decisions, live with them, improve yourself because of them. And move forward.

Agree. I have lot of regrets to go over. But if you ask me life would be any different than today if I made any other choice. Unfortunately no. I feel prior to internet, we had very boring life any decision we take had no bigger impact on us. So that's one more reason I prefer to be happy with whatever decision I can take today.

That's the truth. Like I mentioned, the sum of all our decisions have brought us right here, right now. If we are still breathing, we always have a shot!

For sure something i have been struggling most of my life but that have started to change in later years, you can't be stuck in the past and always be thinking about what you should've and shouldn't have done you cannot go back and change it anyway so what's the point? Live for the now and work towards a better tomorrow.

Even if I sometimes feel regret for my decisions (I am human after all), I learned to dismiss it, because whatever we did led us to the point where we are now. Good or bad, we have to deal with it, and look to the future.
