Frozen trees and fog at the lake ... these photos are my personal favorites this winter.

This picture with the two cormorants on the trees and the other two of these big birds in the water shows a lot of peace and quiet for me, and so was this morning at the lake.

Dieses Bild mit den beiden Kormoranen auf den Bäumen und den zwei weiteren dieser großen Vögel im Wasser strahlt für mich viel Ruhe und Frieden aus, und so war auch dieser Morgen am See.

The 12th of January 2020 was the only day this winter on which I was able to experience beautiful frost and fog at a lake. Therefore, these photos are among my absolute favorite pictures.

I've already posted some of the photos from that morning. Today I would like to show a few of the other pictures I have made that day.

Der 12. Jänner 2020 war der einzige Tag in diesem Winter, an welchem ich wunderschönen Frost und zugleich Nebel an einem See erleben durfte. Deshalb gehören diese Fotos zu meinen absoluten Lieblingsbildern.

Ein paar der Fotos von diesem Morgen habe ich bereits gepostet. Heute möchte ich noch ein paar der weiteren Bilder zeigen.

The frosty conifers in the background seem like observers, where the morning sun has apparently found a gap between the clouds and the fog.

Wie Beobachter scheinen die frostigen Nadelbäume im Hintergrund, wo die Morgensonne anscheinend eine Lücke zwischen den Wolken und dem Nebel gefunden hat.

Due to the thick fog in the background and the hoarfrost on the many different kinds of trees, the small peninsula looks even much prettier than usual. Some of the trees are even still full of autumn leaves.

Durch den dichten Nebel im Hintergrund und den Rauhreif auf den vielen verschiedenen Baumarten schaut die kleine Halbinsel noch viel hübscher aus als sonst. Einige der Bäume tragen sogar noch das volle Herbstlaub.

Well, it snowed yesterday ... and then it rained - today we had blue sky and sunshine and there was no snow to see anymore. I think, now I'm waiting for the Spring, because the Winter will come in about 10 months ;)

I love the one of the peninsula, so much life frozen and reflected in the still waters. The one tree holding on to it's coat of leaves, and the evergreens just standing guard over them all, a very nice shot.

Fog makes many scenes easier to photograph and of course the frost adds its piece to that compositonto make the photos even more beautiful.

Amazing scenery, beautifully captured. I remember yor post with cormorans on the trees. I was hoping that you took more photos of this beautiful frozen trees by the lake.

Das ist das Schönste am frühen Aufstehen - wenn man alleine an einem schönen Ort ist und einen wunderschönen Sonnenaufgang genießen kann, bzw muss er nicht mal wunderschön sein, allein die Ruhe, die man genießen kann ist schon genug :)

Hat es damals noch kein Nachtfahrverbot gegeben? Kenne mich da nicht so aus, aber nachts dürfen bei uns nur bestimmte Güter gefahren werden.
Aber in der Nacht hast du deine Ruhe, weil nicht viel Verkehr ist. Als ich jünger war, bin ich gerne in der Nacht gefahren, aber jetzt, da die Augen schon schlechter werden, vermeide ich es, im Dunkeln zu fahren. Ganz schlimm ist es, wenn es auch noch regnet.

Nein da gab es damals noch nicht. Die einzigen die ein Fahrverbot hatten waren die Schweizer. Dann kam bei denen noch dazu, dass man nur eine Gesamtgewicht von 28 Tonnen haben durfte. Somit war das fahren durch die Schweiz fast niemals möglich.

Nun als Frigo Fahrer zum Schluss konnte ich auch Sonn und Feiertag fahren. :)

Frigo ist sowas wie ein Kühlwagen oder -laster, denke ich. Die und bestimmte Lebensmitteltransporte dürfen auch heute noch eigentlich immer fahren, soviel ich weiß.
So viele LKW wie heutzutage unterwegs sind, bin ich eigentlich froh, dass es ein Nachtfahrverbot gibt, denn speziell in den kleineren Ortschaften, die noch keine Umfahrung haben, merkt man das schon deutlich.

ja Frigo ist ein Kühl oder Eischrank auf Rädern. Dort wird gekühltes bis tief Gefrorenes transportiert.Hängende Rinderhälften aus Österreich zum Beispiel oder Gänse aus Ungarn, Tiefkühlgemüse aus Ungarn. Milch und Kakau aus Österreich. Aber auch mal Papier oder damals Video Kassetten welche natürlich nicht gekühlt wurden, Da wußten aber die Kieberer nicht was drin war ohne uns anzuhalten.

Ihr wusstet euch schon zu helfen, wie es scheint, aber trotzdem war dann viel weniger Verkehr auf den Straße und auch viel weniger Lärm. Dafür fuhren sie dann vermehrt am Tag.

Nun der Verkehr damals war auch schon recht heftig. Vor allem waren da noch Grenzen und as hieß warten. Salzburg, Passau oder rüber nach Ungarn und in die Tschechei oder nach Yugoslawien.
Das war nicht so wie heute wo man durchfahren kann.
ja schlaf Du mal gut und morgen viel Erfolg bei all dem was Du vorhast. Nach dieser fast Woche Pause hast bestimmt Hummeln im Allerwertesten :D

ja, ich meinte ja auch, dass es dann nachts vor allem in den Orten ohne Umfahrungsstraße sehr ruhig geworden ist, und fast kein Ort hatte damals eine Umfahrung.

Ich bin heute nur eine Runde um den See gefahren und muss mir die Fotos vom Sonnenaufgang erst anschauen. Wahrscheinlich fahre ich dann am Nachmittag nochmal irgendwohin.

Zu meiner Zeit ging es vielfach mitten durch.

Wobei Österreich für den Fernverkehr sehr gut ausgebaut war. Im Regionalverkehr sah das dann wohl anders aus.

Viel Spaß bei allem was Du heute noch vorhast.

Ich weiß nur, wie es bei uns im Drautal gewesen ist. Da gibt es heute noch Stellen, die so eng sind, dass zwei PKW knapp aneinander vorbeikommen, wenn es sich um Einheimische handelt, die dort immer fahren. Auswärtige bleiben stehen und warten - schon gar, wenn ein LKW kommt. Aber die östliche Hälfte des Tales ist jetzt glücklicherweise mit Umfahrungsstraßen ausgebaut. Damals war es aber schon eng und LKW's sind jede Menge gefahren.

Zuerst mal muss ich jetzt wieder mal das Auto waschen - innen und außen. Ich glaube, das letzte Mal, dass dieses Auto Wasser, ausgenommen Regen, gesehen hat, das ist Jahre her ;)
Dann werde ich mal sehen und mir überlegen, aber wahrscheinlich werde ich nur in irgendeine Richtung fahren und mich überraschen lassen ... oder meine Familie hat eine Idee ;)

Täler war schon immer sehr schwierig. Umgehungen können da nur oberhalb und weitläufig sein, was sie dann teuer und für den Nahverkehr wieder nutzlos macht. Der muss auf alle Fälle rein.

Du wirst sicherlich das für Dich richtige heute machen :)

So, bevor ich jetzt wieder abschalte...

Unser Tal ist im Osten breit genug, dass Umfahrungsstraßen gebaut werden konnten. Weiter im Westen wird es schmäler, so dass die Straße zum Teil noch durch die Orte geht, aber nicht mehr so schlimm und eng wie seinerzeit.

Ich meinte das ja auch allgemein.

Wenn ich da so an unser Rheintal denke, zwischen Bingen und Koblenz oder auch das Maintal teilweise auch das Moseltal will genannt werden. Da trifft das sicherlich nicht auf überall sondern vielfach zu.
Sorry die Örtlichkeiten Eures Drautals sind mir aber leider gänzlich unbekannt.

Verstehe, und wenn sie weiter im Westen ausbauen wollen, werden sie es so machen müssen und entweder nach oben ausweichen oder Tunnellösungen machen, aber ich denke, alles wird so bleiben, wie es ist. Wir sind es ja auch gewohnt.
Du kennst das Drautal nicht? Das ist eine große Wissenslücke frei nach dem Motto "Wissen das die Menschheit nicht braucht" ;)

Ich kenne soviel und noch viel mehr eben nicht.

Mir ist das Drautal eben nicht bewusst, vielleicht bin ich schon durch gefahren und weiß es nicht mehr.

Na ja egal was ich nicht weiß mach mich eben nicht mehr heiß oder so ähnlich und wer weiß man soll ja niemals nie sagen.

Everyvody says that it looks cold, but I was there and I can tell you that all I felt was peace and calmness ... it was not that cold, at least not as cold as it looks like ;)

Das war ein außergewöhnlich schöner Morgen und der einzige in diesem Winter, wo ich Nebel und Frost und eine schöne ruhige Stimmung an diesem kleinen See gehabt habe.

I would love to take such photos every day, but unfortunately this was one out of only a few days this winter when we had such nice frost and fog at this lake.
