Future Packs Should Be Only Sold In USDC

In this video, I discuss why moving forward packs in Splinterlands should only be sold in USDC. DEC was meant to be a product backed stable coin and as it stands, it has many areas in which it can be used and accepted in Splinterlands at peg value. Whether that's Land, Guild buildings, or the Wild Season Permit - all of these offer ways in which DEC can be redeemed and burned so it does have value and will slowly decrease in supply over time organically.

Packs should be sold in SPS.
The whole NPE pathway needs to logically represent the viewpoint of a new entrant.

That is Credits, SPS & Glint.

DEC, The Chaos Era, even Vouchers, should be moved to Legacy Status & slowly phased out.

(Spellbook & the Spellbook experience should also be designed with new players in mind too)

Push for USDC in Future Packs, burning DEC organically feels smarter than forcing it through. That dual redemption path for Land/Guilds is exactly how a stablecoin should prove its worth. Wondering if USDC adoption could eventually unlock broader merchant partnerships for Splinterlands.

I am all for accepting payments in a variety of forms.

I am a also mindful of the new player pathway & to keep the rails focused on what a new player sees as they enter our ecosystem.
Currently, there is a chasm of "old world splinterlands" vs "npe" - I am thinking we can run it parellel but a new player shouldn't have to learn (or get pained) by the 2020 mistakes.
