The Impact Of Black Foils and Arcanes

In this video, I discuss the impact that new foils have had on the overall prices of the Conclave Arcana card set. This is something I thought about well before the set came out but it's interesting to see it play out in real time now that we are about 6 months into the sale and launch. We have roughly the same amount of capital going into these cards - while new players have come in it's not statistically significant - and therefore what ends up happening is you get wider diversity over the foils. The more scarce ones like the Arcanes and black foils tend to get pushed up while gold and regular foils get pushed down. This is actually a fantastic development because it gives both new players and collectors what they want - cheaper access into the game and higher value scarce cards, respectively.
