Escalation Neutral Units : Owned or Rent?

what's up Splinter Player around the Praetoria how are you doing?
In this content i want to talk about Escalation new mini set units. And especially Neutral units which is usually is really important for make a great line up or even can change the meta. That usually happened since Chaos Legion release. And right now i want to talking about Escalation sets. This sets is really new so i still dont know what changes. But, after battling high end player in Diamond League, i seen many player already made a new meta using escalation set cards. So, it is good to talk about those cards. And this content will talk about Neutral Unit first since Neutral is mostly used anytime and can combined with any element.

So, there are 2 commons, 1 rare, and 2 epics in escalation set for Neutral units. Wonder why there are no Legendary neutral unit. Maybe it will be really OP or maybe team will preparing it for Promo card to pump the hype for this game.
Lets start from the common card first.
Steelshield Arbalest

This unit is really good to bend any snipe attack, So i think this unit is for defense not a carry. Maybe for protecting carry like attack from Kelan Gaines that having snipe and having double strike ability. So, this unit is really fit with that condition. And what makes that could work??
Steelshield Arbalest having new ability called Decoy that can draws attack of enemy units using Snipe, Apex Strike, or Opportunity. So, it is like semi taunt unit monster. The second ability is Reveal so it will make a camouflage unit ability revealed, Then Phase ability that can make this unit having chance to dodge any magic attack. And the last is Void Armor that can make any magic attack will damaging the armor first before its health. Basically for me this is really good for deceiving any snipe or opportunity unit. It can make the strategies change and somehow can make our team will win in the end.

The second common is Doomshield Warden. This unit is maybe my favourite common in neutral units. Really tanky and yet really deadly. The only problem is just this unit is slow that need to boost the speed a little bit. All the abilities is really supporting this unit. The first ability is Flank that really usefull as tanker that can make the melee that not having reach will having reach and can attack from second position. The second ability is Relentless that will adding bonus damage if the opponent having Void,Void Armor,Shield ability. The third ability is Void Armor that will attacking the armor first before health and imagine this unit having 9 armor for basic plus additional 11 health. Thats kinda huge amount for tanker, and the last is true strike ability that make this unit cannot miss at all.

Next for rare, i never seen anyone using it. And when i try using it in practice, this kinda hard for me. The sync in the team is not so easy. Having camouflage is good but since this unit is range so i dont think this unit need camouflage, then repair yeah, this ability is the only good for the team and the last is inspire. Maybe this unit can be used when want to play with armor gameplay feat Elias Max Pruit. But, the manacost is too much for those ability i guess.

Lets move to Epic rarity, this unit called Lord Alwen Graymane. I think this unit is really cool in some ruleset for example Shades of Gray that can only using Neutral units especially this unit having Silence ability that can reduce any magic damage to opponent magic type attack line up. And also this unit having scattershot ability but back again this will be really hard since the magic attack is only 2 which is soon it will be just 1 after got silenced many times when in battle. Then amplify and Dispel, those 2 ability is kinda not usefull especially combined with scattershot ability. So, it will be really random which is the chance to get the right target is really low. Thats why this epic is not good at all for me.

The last Epic is Shiraza. This one is very recommended, maybe this can be a subtitute for Moxian Rebel after Rebellion goes to wild. This unit having 3 magic damage with Weapon Training ability, Phase ability combined with 5 speed which is can having chance to dodge any magic attack, and the last is halving that can reduce any opponent unit attack after got hit. The problem is just need 7 mana to use this unit which is cannot be used in the low mana battle.

So far, i think the most usefull unit is still common and one epic in this Neutral units. Especially the common units. Maybe it can be a gamechanger that can replacing Gottem soon especially after Hanv release that can gives double strike to 1 unit and imagine if giving to Doomshield Warden that having 7 melee damage. It can give really huge damage and since having relentless it will be super effective if the opponent prepared tanker that having shield ability.
