Splinterlands - Winning in the Junior Varsity modifer

Hello everyone, have a nice day and good battles. Last tuesday, a new modifier called Junior Varsity was implemented, which only allows players to summon units and archons that cost 6 or less mana. This means that most legendary archons that usually cost 7 mana will not be usable. This time, I will show you a battle where this new modifier was active; it's a tournament battle where only cards of 1 level are allowed.

In this battle, I used the archon, Immortalis, who grants all my units the Void and Shatter abilities, so they will take 50% less damage from magic attacks and when attacking will destroy the target's armor. In addition, Immortalis reduces the health of enemy units by 1.

In the first position is Stone Golem, which takes 50% less damage from physical attacks thanks to its Shield ability.

In the second position is Thanalorian Blade, who while in the backline, will attack the enemy unit with the lowest health, since she has the Opportunity ability.

In the third position is Satha Toledo, who thanks to her Heal ability, will restore one third of the health of her frontline allied unit each round.

In the fourth position is Sporcerer, which while alive, passively reduces the armor of the enemy units by 2.

In the fifth position is Beatrix Ironhand, who can attack from the first position thanks that she has the Close Range ability.

In the sixth and last position is Goblin Psychic, who like its human ally, it also has the Heal ability.

Battle

In the first round, the enemy, Bren Palesworn defeats my Goblin Psychic. Then, Thanalorian Blade defeats the enemy Halfling Refugee.

In the second round, Beatrix Ironhand defeats the enemy Deeplurker. Then, Thanalorian Blade defeats Merdaali Guardian. After that, Stone Golem defeats the enemy Runi, but is resurrected again.

In the third round, Bren Palesworn defetats my Beatrix Ironhand. Then, Satha Toledo defeats the resurrected Runi. After that, Sporcerer defeats Riverboat Captain.

And finally in the fourth round, Thanalorian Blade ends the battle by defeating Bren Palesworn.

In this battle, thanks that I summoned Sporcerer, the enemy units lost their armor granted by their summoner. This new modifier is very interesting, as there are fewer options to play with, it's like the little league modifier that only allows units and archons that cost 4 mana or less.

Thanks to having summoned a better synergy of units, and of course, a better archon, I only lost two units during the battle. Good luck and have fun playing.
