Region 10: My Land

Okay. Today I will talk about my land. To be specific, I will talk about my Region in Splinterlands. This is Region 10. There are many like it (143 of them so far); but this one is mine. I am not here to win or make money. I am here to have fun, and in the process perhaps do some community service and perhaps make a few people financially free. That can happen if the game as a whole succeed. If that happens, I will get my fair share of dividend and I am happy about that.

Above is the basic view of my Region 10. This reminds me of my first post regarding my region which I wrote in Apr 03, 2023. This is funny how regular blogging works, especially if you use your blog as a journal. You can potentially go back in time and check what you wrote there.

Earlier it was told, all lands will have very similar utility in terms of type. However, after the publication of the Secrets of Pretoria whitepaper that seems not to be the case

I wrote this 2 years back. Now I can safely say, that is indeed the case. Not all regions are created equal and not all land types are created equal. What matters most perhaps that they are managed very differently.

I have 309 active plots out of 1000, that put me about P30 percentile in terms of the region populative and activity. In other words, there are 30 percent regions will less active plots than mine. Do I feel bad about it? Absolutely not :)

Question of the Day!

• Do I turn off my SPS mines? YES
• Done I turn off my Research Plots? YES, in the beginning, BUT....

I think most landowners understand why these questions was raised, it is because to do the SPS and Research activities, you will need the new resources: Wood, Iron and Stone. In the beginning, people had none of that. After about two weeks now, people beginning to have some, but still for most plots mining SPS is not profitable. Meaning you have to spend more money on resources than the value of SPS you get from your mine. So the answer to the first question is obvious. Plus, there are so many better ways to earn SPS, like playing the game in Survival mode for example.

The second question is a bit more complicated. Again Research is attached to Secrets of Preatoria. Trouble is no one knows what that is. We have been blindly collecting those point in some speculation that no one knows when it can or will be delivered. So as of now it doesn't have any tangible value. Now after this new update, a lot of people must put additional money into the ecosystem, or rearrange their plots effectively (very difficult) to collect research. So, a lot of people including myself, turned them off all together and converted them to a natural resource which doesn't require the new resources to harvest.

I did turn of all my SPS and Research Plots first, but now I have slowly began to turn them on. I have turned on 3 so far in Region 10. I don't have the best cards on it so far. However, thanks to Vugtis; I have decided to put 3 Runis there to get some boost, and also save on DEC staking.

Currently, this is about all that I can afford with the production that I have. You might see and question me about my grain deficiency: about 9000/hr, or about 78M/yr :) I have taken care of that!
