To my knowledge curation is the act of upvoting different content that is being posted. Or if the content is not good or harmful to the environment you might even downvote a post. Past that my knowledge of curation is all a bit muddled and I would like to know more! If you happen to know the answer to any of my questions I would be delighted to hear them!

SPT vs HIVE

I know that posting and curating can earn you both of these currencies. I also know that to earn these currencies from curating you must convert SPT or HIVE to SPT Power or HIVE Power respectively. What I would like to know is from the splintertalk platform can I make both HIVE and SPT from curating or do I need to use a different platform to earn HIVE?

Power

As I said earlier I know that you can convert SPT and HIVE to SPT Power and Hive Power in order to have your votes be worth more while curating. What I want to know about this power is that upon upvoting a post is the amount that goes to the post taken out of your power or simply just added to the post?

Curating Payouts

I know that for posting here on Splintertalk that 50 percent goes to the poster and 50 percent goes to the curators. As a poster I know that 50 percent of the 50 percent that is paid to you (25 percent of the whole post) goes into your power and the remaining 50 percent of the 50 percent goes straight to SPT and/or HIVE. My question here is does curating rewards pay out similarly putting some into power and some into liquid payouts?

Again, I am just a noobie here and I am looking to have a better understanding of the platform so any help would be appreciated! If there is a useful tip that you think should be covered that I did not touch on I would love to hear those as well.
