A Splinterlands journey of a new player / Giveaway

Splinterlands

I created my Splinterlands account last year and played a few games. It wasn't for me at this time, since I played another card game which I liked much more and some other games. A while ago I saw a video about Splinterlands and I thought I would give it another chance.

And here I am!


I watched a bunch of videos about Splinterlands about cards, SPS, DEC, renting system and some other

things, beside playing the game and learning the mechanics of the cards.

I have also visited some streams to learn from others and luckily some of the stream did have giveaways. I got a few cards and some DEC which leads me to the first thing in this game. It's a very nice and generous community. So I played my first season with all the quests and got to Bronze I with some nice rewards. I also tried some tournaments, but that was a fail. 😂
All in all I enjoy the game.

I tried a lot of deck variation as far as I could with my standard cards and my first rented cards with weak results. Then I had found 💚 Mylor Crowling 💚 which increased my win rate dramatically. But this didn't last long. You can't just rely on on card. So I had to test and try other Summoners and deck combinations. That's my story so far.

Are you kidding me? That's an awesome potential giveaway!

I'm an early adopter, but this account is used in an experiment I go through (grinding my way up without external investments, transfers or delegations from myself - only organic growth of the account). So let's say one of the early ones - Selenia Sky, which had its time of glory before many other options appeared. A 3 mana +1 ranged attack dragon card. I still love it and use it often.

I started playing a couple months ago, well more this month then the others. Mylor was the first card I ever rented. Love Mylor with Kron the undying actually. @theduce

I started playing around June/July? Anyway, as a student I am still trying my best to earn from this game in a very budget approach. Coming from a less wealthy family, it is very tough to work full time while studying full time at my University. I first jumped to this Splinterlands game because of the very attractive Play 2 Earn genre. I was initially contemplating between Axie Infinity and Splinterlands, but the high amount of investment required for Axie made me choose Splinterlands! That being the case, I have yet to open my first pack due to budget constraint... Fingers crossed, hoping I can open my first pack!

My favourite summoner would definitely be Lir Deepswimmer! Now this is a legendary summoner, a summoner whom I was very fortunate to be loaned to by one of my friend I made at Splinterlands Discord. This summoner provides 2 "Armour", "Retaliate" and "Blind". In a high mana match up, this summoner is insanely effective! My most memorable match was when I was just about to lose, with 2 monsters left. A ranged monster as my last monster, and a Furious Chicken as my tank. I was so sure I will lose but it was just amazing how my Furious Chicken just dodged every single attack. While a Chicken became my tank, the ranged monster was able to slowly mow down the enemy line! That is by far, the most memorable match I have. I know there are some insanely over-powered Summoners such as Scarred Llama Mage but hey, I was thinking of keeping it more personal and sharing my personal experience

Fingers crossed, really wish to open my first pack. Hopefully I can be a winner. Also, thank you so much @chaosmagic23 for this insanely generous giveaway.

Wah... It was a couple of months ago. I am not sure how to dig it out. Though it is definitely an epic match, with the Chicken literally being furious! Haha. Tell you what, I am not sure if I can find the link, but lemme try to replicate a match with this Furious Chicken! Lemme try!
