What's the better investment? SPS or DEC

I just started playing Splinterlands about a month ago, and I had some money that I wanted to throw into the game as an investment so I asked myself "What should I invest into? SPS or DEC?"

Right off the bat, I would like to say that I believe that SPS is the more valuable investment. SPS has a limited max supply of 3,000,000,000 tokens (this is very important to me because it means that the value of my tokens will not decrease just because someone decides to issue more tokens). SPS can be staked at a rate of 60% APR (which is insanely good). And based on how much SPS you have staked, you are airdropped a certain amount of VOUCHERS. A VOUCHER is a token that is required to use if you want to buy presale packas and the only way to acquire them is by having them airdropped to you or by buying them on a third-party market.

So based off of all these, it seems like SPS is the better investment. There does not seem to be a max supply of DEC, and you cannot stake DEC. You also are not awarded any VOUCHERS for DEC you own. So why did I decide to invest all my money into DEC?

Here was my logic. There are more than 200 days left where SPS will be airdropped to users. SPS is being airdropped based on a variety of factors including how much collection power you own , how much DEC you own, how much land plots you own and many other factors as well. My logic is that if I buy $80 worth of DEC and transfer it to the game and hold it, then that will increase the amount of SPS I am awarded over the next 280+ days. To me it was more valuable to increae the amount of SPS that I'm awarded every single day rather than to just buy a bulk amount of SPS one-time. You can buy $80 worth of SPS. Or you can buy $80 worth of DEC and increase the amount of SPS that gets airdropped to you by 0.50. It doesn't sounds like a lot but, 0.50 SPS a day for 280 days is 140 SPS. And then at the end of the airdrop period you will still own your $80 worth of DEC which you can convert to SPS at the end of the day.

There are cons to this stratgey however. Obviously, this strategy won't let you take full/immediate advantage of the opportunity to stake your SPS. Nor will this strategy result in a lot of VOUCHERs being airdropped to you. However, I think having a consistent stream of SPS being airdropped to you every single day is more important. What will you decide? Feel free to comment and let me know what you think along with any flaws you see in my strategy.

I've opted for a 3-prong approach, that varies according to the ratio between DEC and SPS
I have about 50% as staked SPS (which I am in the process of unstaking as vouchers will lose value over time)
I have about 40% in a DEC:SPS Liquidity Pool (many advantages- including that my SPS gets AD points)
The last 10% is split between SPS and DEC which I slosh back and forth as the ratio goes from 50:1 to 70:1 and back

Interesting! I haven't looked into liquidity pools yet but it seems like the DEC:SPS liquidity pool will have a lot of advantages!
