Splinterlands | Flamesmith Challenge

avatar

For the first time, a card from the latest DICE set is being highlighted in the weekly Share Your Battle Challenge organized by the Splinterlands team. This is the Flamesmith...

I did not have this card in my collection as I managed to build a very balanced card collection already and it just doesn't make much sense to buy more cards for me where I'm at. The only reason I'm buying cards right now is when I believe there is one that is undervalued (not many of those around) or to expand on the cards that I'm able to lease out to new players who take me up on the Sign-up deal I am offering each month (See November Sign-Up Deal). The Flamesmith doesn't really look like it's all too good of a card for the mana cost as it only has 4-5 health for 7 mana and slow speed.

I have been complaining for a while about how Splinterlands turned into the worst Pay2Win experience ever since the matchup system got broken after the collection power score was introduced. The way I see it, there isn't even room for a discussion as it's a fact that in most matches, the winner is known in advance because of the huge gap in card levels along with the 90%+ win rates most of the players on top of the league leaderboards have. The match I played with the Flamesmith for this challenge as my Level 3 Summoner was up against a Level 6 Summoner which makes it just impossible to even come close to a win.

I honestly didn't even try to win this one as I knew in advance that I stood no chance. It is really sad to see what Splinterlands has become these days as many of the games are exactly like this. Depending on if stay in a lower league competing for the leaderboard rewards or go for a higher league going for bigger daily quest & season rewards you will be on one of the sides getting easy wins haded out to you are being without chance. The thing that worries me the most is that the team doesn't even seem to recognize this major issue.

I'm slowly losing faith week by week as what once was a fun game turned into an investment scheme wrapped into a game. If anything, the rewards are still great at the moment but I see no chance of this ever getting adopted by real gamers if something doesn't change.

SIGN-UP PROMO OFFER

For now, I continue to offer a win-win deal to everyone who tries out the game using my Referral Link. I haven't seen anyone else doing this so I guess the best possible way for those who want to get into the game is by using my link. To see the full deal I'm offering for the month of November, check Full Sign-Up Deal.
To see what can be expected in terms of earnings from the Splinterlands game, check my detailed monthly earnings reports...

To understand what the game is about and how it can be played check the video below!

Important: Treat games in the first place as games and not as investment opportunities, Splinterlands allows you to earn some money and get good returns but you are much better off flipping burgers in Mcdonalds when looking at the money earned for the time invested. Investing also comes with a risk of card values going down.

Sorry you feel that way, but it seems new players are indeed enjoying the game. but, everyone's entitled to their opinion.
