My Splinterlands Diary: Buy Gladius Pack & Opening

It's time again to buy and open some gladius packs. We have just completed our weekly brawl, finishing in fifth. I'm a member of Gank's Squadron Guild, playing brawls weekly. From there, I earn rewards to buy packs which I will do today. I don't do well in brawls because I lack the cards in the fray I'm assigned so I try to play in Modern to get reward cards and compete better. Anyway, the topic today is the gladiator cards I'm buying and opening.

I have enough merits to buy two packs from the shop. A gladius pack is 2,000 merits per pack and I have 5k+ merits to buy two packs.

I opened the packs one at a time. The first pack contained the cards below.

The first pack included a strong epic card named Edith Emberstar. It's a range card that belongs to the water element. It has four attack which is excellent.

The pack also contained a rare card that I already have. It's a two mana fire unit with two attack called Orella Abadon. It has sneak ability so ideally placed in the backline because it's a glass cannon with only two health.

Another fire unit was Chimney Wallstop. It's a good tank with high attack and defense. Its speed is not impressive with only one.

There's a unit with no attack, Krash Wanderford. He has swiftness ability that provides a speed buff to the team. It's a waste in my opinion for a gladiator card to not have any attack.

Lastly, there's a water tank, Alva the Crusher. It has sufficient stats and a shield ability against physical attacks.

Next pack had the following units below.

What we have here, another epic and two rare cards.

The epic card is a light element Marisol Contuma. It's a good tank with high attack and defensive stats.

The first rare card is Sarius. It's a three mana fire card with two attack. It's a range unit to be placed in the back position.

The other rare card is Alfredo. It's a water card with two mana but I think he is worse compared to Orella Abadon. He only has one attack which is lower than Orella.

The common card is an earth element. It's two mana with one attack like Alfredo. This is better than Alfredo in my opinion because he is a melee attacker.

The last card is a common tank. It's a life element with low attack but good defensive stats and ability. It can be compared to Alva the Crusher only it's worse because it has lower attack than Alva.

Overall it was a good buy. It had two epic cards and three rare.
