It Was Fun In Wild Format, But It's Time To Get Back To Modern

Hello Summoners

Finally we have a new season again. I started the last season with a blast start, everything went well. However later part, I got too many works and I had to skips splinterlands for some days.

So it is not a surprise for me seeing my end of season rewards having no leaderboard bonus. Well having 69k Glints for playing on Silver League Wild format is not bad, it could actually a lot higher if I played for a full season.

Here is a recap for what I have got last season. 98 SPS from the rank battles and 264 SPS from the brawls. I managed to participated in all brawls, and those brawls saved me from having a real awful rewards.

Maybe I could get around 200 to 250 SPS from ranked wild rewards if I participated for a full season. However 200 SPS is a small money anyay, that's a past so I would not bother it more. What matters most right now is what will I do next?

BACK TO THE MODERN FORMAT

I enjoyed those days in Wild Format, for around 3 seasons. I got back there because I wanted to polish or refine my game play. It pays off, and my brawls performance improved.

However I know well that we need to move forward. Everything must progress to the future, not backwards. So here I have decided that I will get back playing on modern format.

Now look at that, I need to start from Bronze II again. It feels so nostalgic, playing in bronze league against some liquidity bots. I realize I need to adapt again, because I get used with some old summoners and some unplayable cards due to different formats.

I was laughing from seeing my first win today. Damn, 0.066 SPS lol. It was so funny to see that number, well I was not thinking too much about monetization or profitability here, but I would not lie and acting as if I am a hypocrite who doesn't care at all about earning.

The point of playing Web 3 Blockchain Game is to earn something, or make profit of it. Let's be honest about that however money is not the sole thing in this game. Maybe money is the second thing, the first thing is how we can enjoy from playing it.

Splinterlands is game, not a job!

It took me 7 games to get me from Bronze II to Bronze I. Well I had a decent cards selection so it was not a big issue for me. Maybe for a newbie, it could be an issue.

You know what the good thing from getting a new league?

We get some rewards. Rewards from Bronze and Silver are not great, mostly bad. However that is not the case for today.

I got that Legendary Dragon card, the Chuma Marandu. Well I can not ask for a Gold Foil one, regarding this was from a bronze league, however getting a legendary reward card is always welcomed.

So that's all what I can share for today. Let me recap all into two main points here.

1. Do not dwell too long in Bronze League. The rewards suck, the meta is limited. It is not even worth for learning this game. Try to advance to silver as soon as possible.
2. This is a game anyway. Yes we can monetize and make profit from Splinterlands, but don't let yourself drown in ROI APR and whatever you call it. Try to see this game from another point of view, have the fun. This is not a job, this is especially for you Scholar players. A real job pays you more.
