Sunday Lore Trivia Givia

Hey, fellow Splinterlanders are you interested in the incredible lore in the game you love most. If not you should be; Chris Roberts and Carrie Allen have done some incredible work in the lore building of this game and it should not go unnoticed.
Not too long ago a fellow member in the discord named; SketchyGamerGuy got into a conversation with me about the awesome lore in this game and we connected on that. We talked for a while about some of the cool stories in the lore section. It started with the fire splinter and how fractured that place is and the civil war going on there. It just snowballed from there, and after reading through some others I was blown away by the stories in all the different splinters(I have not read them all yet.); and more importantly, I have stumbled upon the splinterlore website. It houses an absurd amount of information from how everything started for instance; the start of the splintering to the obliteration of light and so on. The encyclopedia on there is a compendium of all the events and happenings in the entire splinterverse.

It wasn't too long after we talked that; SketchyGamerGuy came up with the incredible idea; of doing a lore trivia giveaway for people in the discord who could properly identify what/who's lore we were talking about. The community inspired us to give back; with so many remarkable members doing the same in their own way; this was our way of showing some love. This has been such an incredible experience to be a part of; we see new people join in on it every Sunday, and the fast responses inform us that people really enjoy the lore as well. So much so that we have had to make the questions tougher; this week I pulled various things from the encyclopedia that you can only find over there and through some extensive reading.

Going forward will be doing these every Sunday at 7pmEST; in the general chat of the official discord we hope to see you there next Sunday. This post will outline what splinter I will be asking questions about for next week; so here is your chance to get some info and do some reading.

In conclusion, we want to give players that love the lore as much as we do; something awesome and fun to look forward to. We encourage new or old players to go the extra step and read about this incredible story building behind the game. It truly is remarkable what @chrisroberts & @carrieallen, and the steem community have created here. Do them and yourself a favor and go start reading it because it might just pay off come Sundays when do these events.

Other members have joined in on the giveaways as well; if you're lucky, you will catch a whale sighting if @cornavirus is in there. He usually joins in on the fun if he can and throws some pretty handsome rewards out as well. He is one of the members that inspired SketchyGamerGuy, and @jrvacation was the one who inspired me. Overall the community is a beautiful place with tons of helpful and generous people; that constantly promote positivity and kindness in there and if you haven't joined it yet you are missing out.
