Splinterlands SHARE YOUR BATTLE Weekly Challenge: SAND WORM

avatar

The beloved game has launched a new phase of the Share Your Battle Challenge and the monster of the week is Sand Worm. One of my favorite cards with the Sneak ability.

Sand Worm, with a high cost of 9, is great for battles with a lot of mana, and I use it most often in the second or third position, for a "quick" attack on the rear of the enemy. I pumped mine up to level 5 a long time ago, because it's a card I often get in daily quests, and more than once it became a really serious threat to the enemy.

In this battle, I used the following force structure

  • Haunted Spirit. Probably my favorite "tank" in the Death deck. Its high health and ability to regenerate, as well as its 3 attack points make it a very good melee card.
  • The Gorlodon. One of the great new cards, just like Sand Warm, perfect for battles with lots of mana. I put it on the second position to strengthen the attack and "stall the fight" if the opponent defeats the "tank".
  • Sand Worm. Third position and a great reason to "tear up" the enemy's rear.
  • Haunted Spider. A monster I use a lot because of its Poison ability. If your opponent's map is really strong on the first position, he'll need a spider to mess up his health.
  • Dark Ferryman. Not a bad long-range monster and his ability to improve the quality of my attacks sometimes becomes very useful.
  • Ctulhu. Completes the selection with the most powerful long-range attack monster. His huge amount of health fully justifies his high cost and I really like making him the "final" argument.

The opponent was not so simple - and put on the first positions very strong and dangerous Robo-Dragon Knight and strengthened his attack Sand Worm and the battle was very tight.
