For the Battle Mage Secrets of this week let's talk about the Back to Basics ruleset considering Gold league + Modern format!

Para os segredos do Battle Mage desta semana, vamos falar sobre o conjunto de regras De volta ao Básico considerando a liga Ouro + Formato Moderno!

GENERAL STRATEGY

Ruleset: All monsters lose their abilities.

Best Summoners: Yodin Zaku, Byzantine Kitty, Immortalis, Grandmaster Rathe. Unless your opponent picks Ilthain or Lir Deepswimer, it is very likely to win the battle with Yodin in medium/high mana battles.

Best Monsters:

Fire/Fogo 🔥: Fineas Rage, Scavo Firebolt, Ifrit Rising

Water/Água 🐳: Baakjira, Nerissa Tridawn, Kelp Initiate and Captain's Ghost.

Earth/Terra 🌿: Failed Summoner, Mycelic Slipspawn, Runemancer Florre and Oaken Behemoth.

Life/Vida 🌟: Pelacor Conjurer, Kralus due to his double attack type, Temporal Master and Djinn Renova.

Death/Morte 👻: Pelacor Deceiver, Insidious Warlock, Dhampir Stalker, Shadowy Presence and Magi Necrosi.

Dragon/Dragão 🐲: Dragon Spirit.

Neutral/Neutro ⚔️: Almo Cambio and Magi of Chaos.

Strategy: focus on monsters that doesn't have many or any abilities at all! For example: Nerissa Tridawn, Kulu Swimhunter and Magi of Chaos (Great cards). Have in mind that you are always paying mana for these abilities. The best ability to get rid of is Recharge! So, monsters like Temporal Master and Insidious Warlock perform very well!

On the other hand avoid monsters like Chaos Dragon, Lira the Dark, Adelade Brightwing etc.

Conjunto de regras: Todos os monstros perdem suas habilidades.

Melhores invocadores: Yodin Zaku, Byzantine Kitty, Immortalis, Grandmaster Rathe. A menos que seu oponente escolha Ilthain ou Lir Deepswimer, é muito provável que vença a batalha com Yodin em batalhas de mana médio/alto.

I picked a ranked battle in Gold league + Modern format. The rules were: Fire & Regret, Counterspell and Back to Basics + 50 Mana Cap.

About the Strategy

Grandmaster Rathe (Summoner): Only Life, Death and Dragon elements were available, since I don't have Kitty, the best option was Grandmaster Rathe! With the Counterspell ruleset the Void Armor provided by him increases the survivability of the whole team!

Imperial Knight (Main Tank): he has a lot of armor and decent HP, so he can absorb at least 16 damage!

Almo Cambio (Secondary Tank): although he has some abilities like Phase, Immunity and Return Fire, I still think he will be a decent tank to gain time for my backline and maybe dodge a melee/ranged attack with his 6 Speed point!

Time Meddler/Runemancer Atuat/Magi Of Chaos/Djinn Renova: now the rest of the backline I focused on magic attack type with some armored monsters to absorb the magic reflect!

Sobre a Estratégia

Grandmaster Rathe (Invocador): Somente os elementos Vida, Morte e Dragão estavam disponíveis, como não tenho Kitty, a melhor opção era Grandmaster Rathe! Com o conjunto de regras do Contrafeitiço, a Armardura Vazia fornecida por ele aumenta a capacidade de sobrevivência de toda a equipe!

Cavaleiro Imperial (Tanque Principal): ele tem muita armadura e HP decente, então ele pode absorver pelo menos 16 de dano!

Almo Cambio (Tanque Secundário): embora ele tenha algumas habilidades como Phase, Immunity e Return Fire, ainda acho que ele será um tanque decente para ganhar tempo para minha linha de trás e talvez desviar de um ataque corpo a corpo/à distância com seus 6 Ponto de velocidade!

Time Meddler/Runemancer Atuat/Magi Of Chaos/Djinn Renova: agora o resto da backline eu foquei no tipo de ataque mágico com alguns monstros blindados para absorver o reflexo mágico!

The Battle

Fortunately my opponent picked General Sloan without Ranged monsters, so I already had a relevant advantage. Not only that, I also consider a huge mistake picking only melee monsters, so they will stay idle until they reach the first position!

My Void Armor worked very well, in the first round getting rid of Drybone Barbarian in 4 hits and absorbing the magic reflect. My opponent didn't even attack my monsters.

In the second round it was almost the same, only Chaos Knight attacked my Imperial Knight, but his Corsair Bosun just died without attacking.

In round 3 to 5 my mages kept killing his melee monsters.

Felizmente meu oponente escolheu o General Sloan sem monstros de longo alcance, então eu já tinha uma vantagem relevante. Além disso, também considero um grande erro escolher apenas monstros corpo a corpo, para que eles fiquem ociosos até chegarem à primeira posição!

Minha Armadura Vazia funcionou muito bem, no primeiro round se livrando do Drybone Barbarian em 4 ataques e absorvendo o reflexo de magia. Meu oponente nem atacou meus monstros.

No segundo round foi quase a mesma coisa, apenas Chaos Knight atacou meu Imperial Knight, mas seu Corsair Bosun acabou morrendo sem atacar.

Nas rodadas 3 a 5, meus magos continuaram matando seus monstros corpo a corpo.
