Qid Yuff + Magnor COMBO WINS on 1st round DIAMOND League
Hello Splinterlords!
Today I want to share you a battle where Qid Yuff and Magnor play a big role to win the game on the first turn, but lets not forget about the new Rule called Stampede.
But first let's go with the Battle Mana Cap, Splinters and Rules.
As I have mentioned above, the rule of this battle is Stampede, this rule allows the trample ability to be triggered multiple times after a successful kill (without this rule, trample only triggers once).
MANA CAP is 36, is considered high.
Splinters restricted are Water and Dragon.
Battle formation
Summoner: Qid Yuff, this summoner was the choice because he gives the Piercing Ability to all friendly monsters.
Tank Position: Magnor, this monster is very convenient on this battle, because he is 12 mana but because we have 36 mana is not a problem at all. He has Taunt ability, so everyone that can attack him will do so, this allows the second ability to trigger quicker, which is Enrage, he will get extra attack, and speed to make him stronger. He also has the Trample Ability, which as we saw in the rules, it makes it trigger multiple times with the Stampede (VERY CRITIC to make this battle be won on the first turn). Besides he reflects arrows, and because we have Qid Yuff as summoner, he also has the piercing ability, this makes him hell of a beast once he goes enraged (see picture bellow).
OFF TANK: Fineas Rage, this is a strong backup for Magnor, because he has high health, it´s faster than Magnor, so it will attack the Tank first because he has Reach ability and he can weaken the tank for Magnor, he also has the Oppress ability in case we have a strong tank like Lord Ariantus, Gelatinious Cube, Almo Cambio or Peaceful Giant.
3rd Position: Tower Griffin, this monster gives Protection Ability to all friendly monsters (+2 armor), this gives extra protection to absorb any strong hit to Magnor before he attacks. Griffin also has the Flying ability, it helps against snipers.
4th Position: Ferexia General, this monster is primpary to Give Inspire (+1 melee damage) to all friendly monsters (makes Magnor more powerful) and it also helps clearing any healers with the snipe ability or and breaks armor with the Shatter Ability.
5th position: Battle Queen, another inspire to boost Magnor´s attack and fast speed to heal Magnor in case he gets hit too much before his attack with the Heal Tank Ability.
6th and last position: Dwarven Wizard, another sniper to take down any healers or stun them with the Stun Ability in case there is a big tank in the first position.
Last but not least, the Battle link HERE
Always remember that this wont always work, that´s the beauty of Splinterlands, there is no 1 Strategy that wins all, so play it carefully when you think you have good odds to make it happen, hit BATTLE and cross your fingers!
Thank you for this battle breakdown. With me being in Bronze, I have not seen many of these monsters or abilities. It was interesting to see them in action and see the strategy behind the monsters that you selected for this battle.
Thanks, glad you liked it. Sadly there are no monsters with trample in Bronze League, but once you get to silver you can use a few of them.
I guess I have something to look forward to, then...maybe. As long as I am the one with Trample and not my opponent. 😁
Great battle and post!!!~@clove71
