Welcome back to another fresh and energetic Splinterlands post, guys and I hope all of you are doing well in your lives and enjoying a pleasant day with your family and friends. Now, for those of you who are actively playing this web3 card-based game and focusing on building your NFT asset collection, I believe many of you are also actively participating and have been fighting battles in the ranked arena and trying hard to increase your trophy count before the season meets its end. If we take a quick look at the ongoing ranked season's clock timer, only around 1 day and 8 hours are left before this season finally gets its end reset. So those of you who are still pushing for a new league tier and trying to secure some juicy reward chests, or fighting against the OGs for a seat in the top champion leaderboard for insane DEC token rewards before the reset, I wish you all the best for the remaining battles. But while enjoying the final fights in the arena, don’t forget to keep an eye on your battle energy bar and manage it carefully so that you can maximise your rewards before the season concludes.

Now, let's take a peek at my own activities in the game. As shared in my previous posts, I am, as usual, playing the Frontier mode regularly and trying to maintain my usual position in the Gold league. Right now, my current position stands at the highest Gold I league tier with a trophy count of 4,000. So my immediate season goal of reaching the 4,000 trophy milestone has already been achieved. From here onward, I will try to push further and see if I can somehow reach the Frontier leaderboard as well. However, with an almost empty energy bar and only around a day left before the season reset, I honestly don’t think it will be possible this time. On the other hand, if we take a look at the weekly Frontier raffle, I have currently collected a total of 39 entries, and with around 2 days and 7 hours left before the raffle draw, I will try to increase this number to at least 54 entries or more in order to improve my chances. Let’s see how it goes this time.

Grimward Ruinshot

Now moving forward, let us come to the main topic of this post, as today I will be talking about another interesting monster from the Conclave Arcana edition card set. As you have already seen in the title and thumbnail above, today I will be shining light on the Grimward Ruinshot. So if you are interested in learning more about this card, let us take a deeper dive without any further delay.

The Grimward Ruinshot is a monster-type card that was introduced in the game with the launch of the latest Conclave Arcana core edition card set. This monster belongs to the Neutral element and it comes from the Orc bloodline. By rarity, this card is a Rare typemonster, so you will require a total of 115 CC cards in order to upgrade it to its maximum level. Now, if you want to use this monster in battles, you need to spend a large 7 mana, which means it can ideally be used in medium to high mana limit matches. The attack type of this monster is Ranged, and apart from its strong attack power, it also comes with a pretty good combination of armor and health at medium speed, which helps it survive longer on the battlefield. At its maximum level this monster gains a total of three abilities, which I will discuss later in this post. Let us now take a closer look at this monster’s league-wise stats and abilities below to know more about this beast.

BRONZE

At level 2, this monster holds a decent amount of stats that consist of 2 ranged attack power at 2 speed with 1 armor and 5 health. Apart from these base stats, it also gets an ability from its initial level called Dispel. This ability is quite useful when fighting against monsters that rely on magical buffs.

DISPEL – Removes magic buff after a successful magic attack.

SILVER

When you upgrade this monster further to level 4, its stats improve slightly and it now possesses 2 ranged attack power at 2 speed with 1 armor and 6 health. At this level, it also unlocks a new ability called Relentless Strike. This ability helps the monster deal damage even against heavily protected enemies.

RELENTLESS STRIKE – If an attack's damage would be reduced by Void, Shield, or Forcefield, it deals true damage +1 instead.

GOLD

As this monster gets upgraded further and reaches level 6, its stats improve again and it now carries 3 ranged attack power at 2 speed with 1 armor and 7 health. Even though there are no additional abilities unlocked at this level, the increased attack and health help this monster perform better in battles.

DIAMOND / CHAMPION

Finally, when you upgrade this monster to its maximum level of 8, its stats increase further and it now holds 4 ranged attack power at 3 speed with 2 armor and 7 health. At this level it also gains another useful ability called Piercing. This ability allows the monster to break through armored enemies more effectively.

PIERCING – Damage in excess of the target's armor is applied to health.

Last but not least, I think this monster can be quite useful in many different types of battles. First of all, it comes with a solid ranged attack power combined with a decent armor and health combination, which makes it capable of dealing heavy damage to enemy monsters from the backline. Next, the Piercing ability allows it to destroy armored monsters much faster, which is actually my favourite ability on this monster. Another advantage is its Dispel ability, which can be very effective against defensive monsters that rely on magical buffs for survival. Overall, I think this monster is a reliable arrow-throwing beast in the form of an orc, and its heavy ranged attacks combined with the Piercing ability make it a strong addition to your collection for competitive battles.
