Burn Them DEC!

A lot of anticipation around the latest news from Splinterlands regarding their 5th anniversary celebration. Today we got the news on what that celebration involves.

Quick summary is that next week the start of the event requires participants to burn their DEC in a 7 day duration. The sooner they burn the DEC the more points they receive and top players wins amazing prizes.

Then there are also participation rewards with a minimum of 10,000 DEC or DEC-B being burned.

The prizes are enticing and the objective is pretty sweet. Burning the DEC won't end up be a total lose for players who don't win any rewards. Instead the DEC burned will become Guild points for players to use for in distributing to their own guild's building. Just wow!

Bottom line players are getting rewarded for all the years they been playing Splinterlands. Have you saved enough DEC to partake in this event? Or are you trading for more DEC now as with this news the price of DEC rose over 5%.

Hopefully this gets us to a more steady DEC. I mean it could even take us over the peg finally which should start kicking in SPS prices at that point. I'm going to contribute some myself and see if I win. Might just get lucky.

I hope it burns a lot of DEC. I haven't touched DEC much but I am still waiting for a uswap hive unbalance. When I bought cards, I decided to just use Hive for credits instead.
