Chaos Legion...a real CHAOS?

Splinterlands

Hi guys. I don't know about you but I am quite dissatisfied with this Chaos Legion. And considering that I usually say what I like about Splinterlands...because I like the game, I decided to also share with you some of the things I don't quite like...

As I have already said, we play Splinterlands and we love the game, but still, I wanted things more organised in the Chaos Legion...Ironic, ha? 😅

Let me tell you what bothers me:

  • packs in pre-sale are said to be more expensive than those in the general sale
Pre-sales are now the new finance trick on the market...???

  • characters are unlocked, no rewards are given at all...or yet???
Airdrops are searching for the best candidates or something...

  • a great number of packs will be left out of the general sale for guild and bulk buys.
Why is it that necessary and are these packs more special than others...???

  • if you don't invest a lot in the Chaos Legion you don't have considerable advantages
    No rewards for poor people...???

So, I guess Chaos Legion was able to make some chaos in the minds of some gamers...

[or maybe that was the intention...hahah]

giphy

And before connecting the dots...let's play another SL game to ease our pain...

Next time I will make myself GOLD and hope to see a major difference...
😁🙋🌈

Well, I would agree with you that Chaos Legion cards make quite a chaotic impression on me too! 😄

Regarding pre-sale packs being more expensive and the ones that are going to be sold afterward, I think they actually were if you take into consideration that vouchers were needed for those purchases. I.e., for the first presale, I didn't have enough vouchers to buy the number of packs that I wanted, so it turned out that I was actually paying $24 per pack when you sum the cost of the voucher + pack itself. For the second-presale things were a bit better as the vouchers were not that expensive as during the first presale, but still, it turns out almost double the amount players are going to pay for the same pack now during the coming general sale.

When it comes to new airdropped cards that have been unlocked today, the rewards are already given and available if you have been lucky to get them. I just think, that you maybe forgot that you have to manually check that by going to the "Shop" tab in the game, and on that page to scroll down a bit and click on the banner saying, "New Airdrops - Check Status" which banner would take you to the airdrop page where you have to click on each newly released card and check if you got some or not. This was available that way even 10 or 12 hours before you published this post, so I believe you just missed checking it above described way.

To be honest, I don't see any issue in leaving the remaining packs for the general sale or maybe I just got used to it as it was a common thing during previous collection releases (Dice, Untamed, etc.).

But, I would agree with you that as further it goes the game appears less and less play to earn game as it's advertised or even less free to play, and with every new change seems to be more and more pay to play what gives a huge advantage to those with thick or thicker pockets while every day more leaving aside poor or poorer players who can't afford to upgrade, and that's a pity! 😔

I wasn't lucky to get any rewards from the Airdrop. I understood that you need to have bought at least 300 packs to get a card...which was far my case. Yes, unfortunately, the game is not that free to earn playing..but hopefully, things will turn to be better, at least with regards to the luck in the game, which could allow people who are not in the greatest league to gain as good rewards as possible. Thank You for your precious insight. It enlightens me to see other players' opinions.

I don't know if it's going to be of any comfort to you, but with 200 packs bought, in this airdrop, I've got only one card, and they have been saying how pre-sale pack buyers would receive approximately one card per every 50 packs bought (I think I even have a screenshot of that statement, somewhere). In my mathematical world, that means I should get 4 cards, but it didn't happen. And accordingly, I'm also a bit disappointed, but same as you still hoping for the better. 😊

I was about to comment on this but then I saw yours! HAHA Well articulated!

I'd just like to add that I think the real way to be playing Splinterlands is to actually own the card assets, while using Rents to supplement the deck. This is the only way to make the game more sustainable in the long term.
