Fighting With Dragons 🐉

Every week, @splinterlands posts a challenge for players to post about their battle, using a specific card or splinter. This week’s challenge, is to use Dragons 🐉

So, here was the team I put together:

Since, This challenge is broad in scope, I began by choosing my summoner. I picked, Byzantine Kitty- a powerful Dragon Summoner! Kitty is at level 2 and adds speed to each friendly monster, as well as the ability to never miss with an attack!

Be not distracted by cuteness and fluff,

Byzantine Kitty is cuddly but tough,

If you dare to think kitty is merely a pet,

You haven’t faced kitty in battle just yet.

I also chose the Life splinter, as my ally! I was already feeling confident, but let’s get to my monster line-up!

Ruleset

All monsters have the opportunity ability, which allows the monster to attack from any position and it targets the enemy monster with the lowest health

My Monster Lineup

In my tank position, I chose Manticore! This card is also a Dragon card and has some pretty good stats. It has decent speed, attack, and health- but I really like Maticore’s mentionable abilities. It can fly and cannot miss with a strike!

Silversmith followed. I mainly chose him for his cool Repair ability! Silversmith will repair the armor of the most damaged friendly monster!

I then chose, Devine Healer. I always try to choose a monster with the Tank Heal ability, and Devine Healer was it! This ability restores a portion of the front monster’s health, each round.

Defender of Truth was chosen to be in the fourth position. This card has OK stats, but I love him for his Protect ability. It gives all friendly monsters +2 armor!

Now for the card we all know and love! The infamous Furious Chicken! This card was chosen to be in fifth position to give an extra HP to the team, and act as a buffer for the range attack behind.

Air elemental, anchored the team. I chose this card mainly for the awesome range attack and speed. The heath was just OK. I knew he would die relatively quickly, but he could Quickly inflict some nice damage on the enemy. Card also has the Dodge ability which allows it better evade range & melee attacks!

My battle went 5 rounds, and I only lost Furious Chicken 🍗 I was very happy with the team I assembled, and was very pleased with my victory ✌🏽

This battle netted me 54.123 DEC! That’s about 40 cents for simply winning a battle in a fun game! That’s crazy 😜
