This is my best approach to the fight against those annoying fire summoners. Can even beat Yodin sometimes. As you can see, the chicken will take not one but two hits before falling. Then the shieldbearer said:

• You shall not pass!

And helped by the healer and the armorsmith, it is invincible, while the feral spirit and the cave slug are systematically killing the back monsters.

Total loss: A mighty chicken.

Total win: A crushing victory.
