Introduction and Questions About Hive

Introduction to Hive

Perhaps I should use the #introduceyourself tag in the hopes as a new writer here my questions may be answered. My name is MissCryptoScribe. I'm an American writer, and I joined Hive back in the fall with the intention of writing quite regularly. When the new year arrived, I realized I needed to re-evaluate my resolutions, and writing here was one of them. I'm so excited to be a part of the Hive blockchain; I believe in its concept very much and was anxious to get started.

I excitedly scribbled my posts; in the future I'm looking forward to writing articles regarding crypto games. So far I'm finding #Splinterlands to be an exceptional choice for the crypto world; however, I will branch out and review other games eventually. Does anyone have any recommendations you'd like me to research and review for your reading?

I've Hit a Wall

My desire to write and engage on Hive was quickly thwarted. I seemed to have hit a wall, or perhaps a better analogy would be to suggest I've been stopped by a swarm of bees protecting their Hive. My desire to write daily posts stopped, because I don't seem to have enough resource credits. I anticipated drones of readers rushing to my door (well, probably not drones) and I happily looked forward to engaging with them and building a valuable relationship between reader and writer -- I write, they read and tell me what other areas they would like me to write about for them. Sadly, after making just one comment, I ran out of resource credits so that I couldn't post my article for the next day.

I Need Your Help Please

How do you use Hive if you have no resource credits? How do you engage with others if you have no resources to do it? I'm feeling like the fool who reached into the Hive to grab the sticky sweet honeycomb, only to be stung. If I reach out to say hello to those who visit my posts, I will be stung later for a lack of resource credits, and I won't be able to post a new article. This part of the system seems a bit unfortunate for the new blogger and I'm wondering if I'm missing something about it that I just don't know. I'm not certain where to go to get resource credits so that I might build up my account and offer insight to potentially new crypto users and players. I'm so happy to work for my resource credits; but if I cannot write to get the resource credits, how can I really ever get the resource credits? Surely there's a better way!

Please, if you could help me, I'm happy to spend my days, scribing away to you about all sorts of wonderful crypto news and speculations (although don't take it as financial advice please).

Thank you for reading my introduction post. Please be aware this might be the last post I can do for two days, and please don't expect a comment because that costs resource credits as well. As soon as I can build up some resource credits, I will gladly engage with my readers. Until then, please trust I will be reading all my comments; I just can't respond.

If you know where to get resources credits without buying crypto let me know the comments please. Is there somewhere on Hive that allows you to get a loan on credits or something? If not, that would be a great service to offer and welcome new writers to Hive.

Thank you again for reading my post.

You struggled aswell So don’t confuse with info , keep it small. Peakd or hive.blog and combined with Ecency are enough.
Leo is for financial blogs did you see any of that in her intro here ? So … and voting nana back to 10 % ? Nahhhh in the beginning 80 is best . But you advice and help out your way. That’s great. If she joins us and needs it we will provide

Welcome to the Hive community @misscryptoscribe!
I've delegated a little bit so you have something to work with, as long as you are productive, keep free of plagiarism or any other nasty things, it stays lol. Have fun!
We sincerely hope you find everything you are looking for and have found a new home here.

Seven suggestions to consider:

  1. Guard your passwords carefully, and publish and do everything except Wallet with the Posting key
  2. Use your Active key only for wallet transactions, Keychain, Hivesigner, and Peaklock,
  3. The Owner key and the Master password are only used to reset compromised passwords,
  4. DO NOT lose your passwords; but copy and store them offline in a safe place,
  5. Do not publish other people's work, be it photos or written, without credit, and be sure to source all of your work, even if it is your own.
  6. An introduceyourself tag is used only once, and
  7. Do Not click on any links in memos or comments that you do not know who they belong to. If it sounds too good to be true it probably is, so the old saying goes. There is nothing free here.

I found you because @brittandjosie and @jamerussell from @heyhaveyamet presented and promoted your publication to get more exposure and help you grow faster.

If you find yourself overwhelmed and need some guidance, or if you have any questions, there are informed Hiveans available who can help you; you can click to go to The Terminal in Discord here:

Have fun and happy Hiving!

Great tips @jamerussell

That's most important rule... Keep your keys tight. Learn different active posting owner keys.

Use carefully active and owner just in recovery case.

Welcome and nice to meet you.

Great that some good souls delegate for you. But let me talk about my experience.

First time around here i started investing $80 for power.

Then, after found out what post here, my tavel blog, i decided to start a new account and know the ecosystem usem from zero. It's possible YES!!!

So i started this @vaipraonde account from zero. And at first, you get a lot of RC error.

What the strategy, in about 1 week you get your RC back to >90%.

Youse it wisely. As nothing is free here, post, comment and upvote has fees, your RC.

Of you make a good post, in right community, tou will get reward and less and less you have RC issues.

So, i recommend you to post once every week and use some to engage with your new hive friends. Reply comments with good flow and be rewarded as well.

Upvote good contents, you will be rewarded too.

Downvote if you think that person inflicted communities or hive rules.

Your upvote come from pool, not from your hive.

In less then 4 month, i could use hive with good power and no stress with rc. You lean how to use it and only upvote and comment where you feel some connection.

-OK, BUT i have lot of ideas and want to write... -Learn how to use draft and templates. Give some time to check others posts and learn from there. Inspire, dont copy.

Templates, drafts and tools (in peakd 4 ex) and leep track of your RC and vote power... Less than 10% is bad. 30% you can post an article... Link photos so you dont upload it using hive formating tool... Learn how to oink images, format text, divs class and tables...

And most important... Have fun..

If you have any doubt please let me know replying or taging me using: @vaipraonde

Welcome once more and want to see your posts around here.
