Splinterlands: Noob Strat to Win Games using Starter Deck
Hi, Im back! This is my second and third day of playing Splinterland and a lot has happened. I learned new strategies that can be used to earn rating points by asking other veterans players and reading some post. I just wanted to say some of the players of Splinterlands are surprisingly friendly. I just joined a guild and I think one of the leaders lend me some cards to try out and use. I also chatted with some members and they are all friendly.
That is why my first tip for a new and noob players is to join a guild. There are a lot of benefits in joining a guild like lending cards, more DEC, etc. ( I too is a noob and new so I don't know if there are some hidden perks)
The next tip to win is to use this old man. Based on my understanding this gentleman give a plus magic damage.
So the strategy is to pick Alric, the Gandalf look a like. Your frontline should be a tank that can take some damage because your strategy will be 1 tank and all magic. You can throw ranged attackers here and there but your summoner give +1 magic so you should abuse that.
If you got some tips for me, please let me know. This trick will not always work because other players do have some strategy to counter it. But still it will work because I use this often.

Another perk of being in a guild is that you get a small discount on potions in the shop (discount depends on lvl of the lodge building) and exchanging strategies/ideas ofcourse.
Gandalf Stormbringer can be quite powerful with the right ruleset, though in novice / bronze leagues i don't think the water splinter is your best bet most of the time. because the starter magic monsters have very low health. Any monsters with Snipe, opportunity or blast abilities might take them out in no time 😄

All magic attack can be very powerful in lower leagues. Just be aware of Void (half magic damage), Void Armor (hits shield first), Phase (magic can miss), Magic Reflect, and Silence (-1 magic damage). Particular Magic Reflect can wipe you out easily. A Triage (backrow heal) character like the Mermaid Healer can counter-balance that and already has Triage from lvl 1.
For your next post try to use markup to create titles and text formation. And try to create cover images for your posts, to attract more people to open your posts.
