Is Fire Element Weak Against Magic ? - FiveAlive Ruleset

Hello everyone, tonight I will make a post again about the Splinterlands contest Battle Mage Secrets Challenge. This Week's Theme is FiveAlive ruleset. I'm very exiting about this new update in the battle rank![]

, we now can predict how much sps we can get depending on how strong our card is and our win rate. The most difficult thing I have now is balancing our rent fee and our income.

I play in the Modern Format Diamond League, using my scholar account from Balthazar I only use cheap cards like Chaos, Reward, and some Neutral.

Ruleset

  • chrome_jZ6ifpUZSC.png Equalizer ruleset, all monsters have the same HP based on the highest HP the monster has in the battle.

  • FiveAlive, only five units can be used in this battle.

  • Aim True, attacks always hit their target.

  • mana cap.

My Lineup and strategy

For this battle, we think that the Equalizer and AimTrue rulesets are the most important rulesets, for FiveAlive we don't pay attention to that ruleset in this battle. for FiveAlive we don't pay attention to that ruleset in this battle..

  • In the Equalizer ruleset we must focus fire to kill the enemy faster, and make sure not to use the Scattershot ability (the attack hits a random enemy), Scattershot lost its advantage in the Equalizer ruleset to attack and kill the enemy with the lowest HP because all monster now has same HP.
  • Aim True ruleset just make sure we bring a tanker who is strong against attack or has the ability to defend against the attack. We can't evade the attack so don't use a tanker whose specialty is evading the attack. Bring high damaged monster.

We decided to use the magic attack because usually, Fire element doesn't have a good antimagic unit unless they bring an expensive card from the Rebellion card like Grimbaldun or another card, but let's just ignore that possibility because we only bring a cheap card, and usually lost against its. Actually, there is one cheap card who strong against magic, usually many players bring this card :

But this unit is weak against range and melee attack due to slow speed. So it's rather risky to bring this unit, I guess that the enemy will not bring this monster in this battle. Event if the enemy uses this monster I think we don't have any problem killing it with our tanker.

This is my lineup :

Tarsa, summoner, can give +1 melee damage and HPTarsa is Summoner from Fire, from Chaos Legion card collection. He gives all friendly monster units +1 melee attack and health, Fire team has already many big melee damage monsters, we use this summoner because we only bring 2 summoners Tarsa and Jacek the Conqueror, we don't use Jacek because it give Scattershot to all range and magic monster..
Dumacke Orc, 2nd position, attacker and tanker. Has the ability Shield, Thorns, and Retaliate.Usually this unit only has 1 HP and high armor, but because of the ruleset Equalizer this monster now has good HP. This unit has Shield ability which decreases all range and melee attacks by 50 percent. With the Retaliate ability if this hits by the melee enemy then have a 50% chance to hit back and the Thorns ability will decrease the melee attacker's hp by -2 if he hits this monster. This is a powerful monster against melee and range attacks.
Djinn Inferni, 2nd position, attacker. Has the ability Giant Killer, and Stun.We chose this monster because has great magic damage and speed. Another reason is because of the Stun ability if the enemy monster hits and gets Stun status, it can't move for 1 round. The Giant Killer ability will make this monster do double damage if hits the monster with 10 or more mana costs. After thinking again maybe I should put this monster in the middle, I put this monster here because afraid of the back attack, and thought maybe with high speed it could evade some melee and range attacks, okay this is not good speed only 4 actually but fire monster usually not have fast speed either.
Djinn Apprentice, 3rd position, attacker. Has the ability Deathblow.We choose this monster because has great magic damage and speed. The Deathblow ability will give double damage if the enemy monster is the last left.
firefox_itoKLGdS3y.pngMagi of Chaos, 4th position, attacker. Has **Oppress abilityOppress ability will give double damage if attacked enemy monsters with has no attack. I use this monster because of its high magic damage. This is a slow monster compared to Djinn Inferni or Djinn Apprentice.
Venari Spellsmith, 5th position, Attacker. Has the ability Dispels, Amplify, and Redemption,We use and put this monster in the last position because of the Redemption ability (after this monster dies will inflict 1 damage to all enemy monster), in case the enemy bring monster with the Sneak ability (attacking monster in the last position)

Our guess is correct the enemy tanker is weak against magic, Due to high speed our Djinn Inferni and Djinn Apprentice easily kill it :

I think the enemy guessed that we would bring many range and melee monsters so they put Ferox Defender who can't attack in the 4th position to Repair armor monster in the front/the most damaging and to protect another monster from the Sneak attack (the unit who can attack monsters in the last position)

So is Fire element weak against magic? yes in this battle, we are lucky the enemy does not bring more good cards. Is this a good thing in this game, we can still win and enjoy playing although not using complete cards. Not everyone can afford to rent or buy expensive cards.
