15th Season on Splinterlands

No report cards for the last three seasons. That’s a total of 45 days of silence due to three possible causes:

  • My mind is preoccupied with so many things
  • Change in Ranked Battle rewards, and
  • Due to a technical problem with my laptop

The above reasons for my inactivity have been addressed by three corresponding actions:

  • By focusing on a single idea one at a time
  • Hoping that the recent update about liquidity pools on Uniswap would help improve the Ranked Battle rewards, and
  • By creating a cloud storage

Perhaps another reason for my inactivity is the declining prices of both SPS and the cards. SPS or Splintershards is Splinterlands governance token. As for the declining market price of the cards, there is nothing much I can do about it due to financial limitations. If I have the fund right now, I will take this downtime as a great opportunity to buy more cards.

Enough with the causes of my inactivity from the 12th to 14th season. Now that I am able to organize again the data based on my experience in playing the game, I hope that I can start writing again this 15th season.

For this new start, allow me to share my family’s story about daily quest rewards, our major accomplishments, end-of-season rewards, and the current status of our accounts.

Daily Quest Rewards

Since all of them except my account are playing in the Bronze league, the daily quest rewards of my family’s accounts for the last season are not that significant. Mostly, they are composed of potions and credits. They rarely received a card.

As for my account, since I am playing in the Silver III league, there are at least three daily quests throughout the last season that I received the following incentives:

Biggest Accomplishment

Our biggest accomplishment during the last season is that the account of my second son, kopiko-blanca, finally reached Bronze I!

image.png

For this to happen, my account sacrificed a lot. I have to use my DEC in buying cards that I later gifted to him. I spent at least 5,000 DEC to boost my son’s collection power from 2,615 to 5,080. In my record, these are the cards I sent him:

  • 1 Gold Pelacor Conjurer
  • 1 Gold Cruel Sethropod
  • 1 Gold Venari Bonesmith
  • 2 Twilight Basilisk
  • 3 Naga Assasin
  • 3 Venari Bonesmith
  • 6 Venari Crystalsmith
  • 2 Venari Seedsmith
  • 2 Exploding Rats
  • 1 Level 2 Nightmare, and
  • 1 Pelacor Mercenary

As a result, the value of my account was reduced from 10,000 DEC down to just 5,000 and from 17,205 collection power down to 15,000 plus.

Another important development in my account is that I bought two chaos dragon cards: Chaos Dragon and Zyvax Vuul.

When I saw the price of Chaos Dragon fall below $10.00, I could not resist the temptation to take advantage of such a bargain price. I don’t care if it falls more from here. We don’t know what will happen next. What I do care about is for both Chaos Dragon and Zyvax Vuul to be added to my collection.

End of Season Rewards

As for EOS rewards, except for my youngest son’s account, in which he received one rare card, the rewards of my wife and second son are all composed of common cards, credits, and potions.

Again, just like in the daily quests, there is a big difference in my EOS rewards ending the season at Silver III compared to my family's accounts.

As you can see there are two gold cards, 5 common cards, 29 DEC, and 2 Alchemy potions. It is as if a portion of the cards that I gifted to my son has been returned to me.

Current Status of our Gaming Accounts

This is the status of our accounts during the 11th season:

After three seasons, my collection power increased from 10,370 to 16,215. However, due to the declining prices of cards, despite the growth in collection power, the value of my collection declined from $172.29 down to just $160.18. That’s a decline of 7.02% after 45 days.

Account NameCard Value Last 11th SeasonCurrent Collection PowerCard value at the End of the 15th Season% Change
rzc24-nftbbg$172.2916,215$160.18(7.02%)
kopiko-blanca$10.945,080$30.96182.99%
arlenec2021$9.841,260$6.90(29.87%)
axietrashgane$11.591,380$7.93(31.57%)

My second son’s account overperformed us all with an increase in collection power from 735 to 5,080. In USD terms, from $10.94 to $30.96. That’s a 182.99% increase in 45 days.

I still remember the time four months ago that the collection power of my son was just 50 DEC and $3.00 in value. He actually stopped playing this game due to the difficulty of climbing up because of a lack of funds.

As for my wife and youngest son’s accounts, just like what happened to my account, though their collection power increased, the dollar value of their accounts declined. In terms of percentage, my wife’s account is down 29.87%, and my youngest son’s, 31.57%.

Playing Splinterlands is fun. But if you really want to earn through this game, there is no easy way. You either wait for your account to grow through the years or if you want to do it in a short period of time, you need at least to invest a substantial amount. There is no such thing as easy money on Splinterlands. Those who expect such a thing will soon leave in disgust for playing and earning through this game is like a marathon. You need to have a long-term perspective to achieve that goal.

For now, our next target is for my wife’s account to reach Bronze I. I am not sure how many seasons will it take for us to achieve that.

If reading this article got you curious about Splinterlands and its game economy, why not give it a try? Here's my code.

Grace and peace!

Oh happy to meet another Listnerdian! 😂

Only during the early months of claiming the airdrop because of difference in time zone.

What problem specifically are you encountering?
