Hello, there! @saydie here, playing Splinterlands everyday!

Conjurer's Hubris was one of the 3 new cards that were available in the Voucher Shop, replacing Cloveria Morth'lana. Ever since we got the Voucher Shop, it was the first time that multiple cards were available in the shop. Of course, similar to the other Conclave Arcana Voucher cards that were sold previously, each of the new cards in the shop will have its own Gold Foil Arcane Fortune Draw and Black Foil Arcane Auction, which will be held on separate dates. And just a few days ago, the Gold Foil Arcane Fortune Draw for Conjurer's Hubris has finally concluded, with 10 GFA copies of the card, each with a unique mint number, distributed to the fortune draw winners.

Who were the winners? How many entries did they use? And how many vouchers were used in the process will be the main topic of this post.

Gold Foil Arcane Conurer's Hubris Winners

The GFA Fortune Event for Conjurer's Hubris lasted for 10 days, with 10 GFA copies of the card, each with a unique mint number, awarded to players who won each raffle. To participate, players need to have a Fortune Ticket, which is an item that can be crafted by using 200 Aura and 10 Vouchers, as well as by paying 200 DEC where the Ticket was burned, and the DEC was split equally between the Dao and the Company. For Conjurer's Hubris, it will need 5 Fortune Tickets to have 1 entry. Even though only 1 player can win the card, all the participants will still get a regular copy of the card. And now, here are the 10 lucky winners of the GFA Conjurer's Hubris.

Average Entries/Card296 img_lottery-draw2.png

All in all, there are 2,963 Entries for the GFA Fortune Draw. Multiply that by 5 fortune tickets for each entry, and we have 14,815 Fortune Tickets that were used during the event. Since each ticket needs 10 Vouchers, that means that the GFA Conjurer's Hubris has burned 148,150 Vouchers in total. On average, there are 296 Entries that were used in each draw. Using beaker007's Resource Converter, a Fortune Ticket as per the writing of this post costs 671.97 DEC or 65.14 SPS, so that was about 3,359.85 DEC for an Entry.

But if you purchase Conjurer's Hubris through the general sale, that will only cost you 2,673.319 DEC, meaning you can save 686.53 DEC if you go through the general sale, but the downside is you lose the chance to get the GFA version of the card.

Total Fortune Tickets Used For Each Card Mint.

When it comes to the lowest number of entries entered, mint #2 has the fewest with only 220 entries entered, followed by mint #9 and mint #8, while the highest unexpectedly comes with mint #5 that has 427 entries, followed by mint #6 and mint #3.

Arcane Card Winners and Fortune Tickets They Used..

As for the winners, we got andy-b, who only used 3 entries and luckily won a Gold Foil Arcane, which is quite surprising given that mint #6 has the second highest number of entries entered. On the other hand, the highest entries entered goes to jeffopenscards, which uses 230 Fortune Entries to win the mint #1 of the card, and 115 Entries each to get the mint #3 and 4. Can still probably get the card with half the entries.

Total Tickets Entered Vs. Winner Tickets Entered.

Fortune Tickets Total 14,815
Vouchers Used148,150
Aura UsedAura.png 2,963,000
DEC Used 2,963,000

Through this event, we burned a total of 148,150 Vouchers, which is not a lot since we mint about 40k Vouchers a day, so it was not able to burn even half the Vouchers that we minted within the last 10 days that the Auction was being held. But I think it was fine since the general sale will be where most of the Vouchers will be burned, and as of the writing of this post has 2,272,025 Vouchers spent, given that it was all across the 3 Voucher cards.

Also, the Fortune Draw event has burned 2,963,000 Aura, which is good for land, and with the 1,573,800 DEC that was used to craft the Auction Marks, the company and the DAO get 1,481,500 DEC each.

Closing

Overall, there were 7 unique players who won the 10 GFA copies of Conjurer's Hubris with jeffopenscards holding 30%, while ducecrpto holds 20% of the cards. Comparing the total tickets entered to the tickets that the winners have entered, we can see how slim the chance is for them to win the card, even for those who have spent a lot of Fortune entries, especially when there are some players who spent more tickets but did not win. Regardless, I like to congratulate all the winners of the event.

On average, there are 119 Entries that were used in each draw.

Not sure how you got to this number, but it is very low. There were 2963 total entries, so dividing by ten giveaways should be an average of 296.3 not 119. Big difference mate.

I'm very glad I got my two wins early on in the auction before there were more people entering. I played 60 tickets on the 10/10 auction for 25% chance to win. I saw the 9/10 was low about 30 minutes before the draw, so I decided to play another 25 tickets for a 12% chance to win and got there!

Thank goodness I didn't try to go against Jeff over the last few auctions. He was buying a maxed RF with the fortune tickets, paying 115, 115, and 230 over the last few days to buy 4 maxed RF copies in addition to the 3 GFA cards he won.

Haha, yeah, I input the wrong formula in my Excel. Thanks for letting me know, so I can correct it.

Congrats on winning 2 of the 10 GFA cards

Thanks. The card is so good, I was saving up those fortune draws to be able to win one!
