Season 182 Splinterlands Report for @seattlea

📖 Introduction

Here is my Splinterlands Season 182 report covering battle performance, earnings, rewards, and leaderboard placement.

This season I made an experiment of trying to balance my SPS and Glint earnings, so I have played a good number of Wild league battles to get a diamond leaderboard placement. That experiment was a success and I placed in the top ten at position number eight which earned me 200,000 Glint tokens.

The majority of my battles was in the Modern league, where I played almost three times as many battles in Modern league as I have made in Wild league as you can see in the table below. So I still made a really good amount of SPS in Modern league. I finished in Champion 2 in Modern at a rating of 4000 Points which barely let me place on the Modern Champion Leaderboard.

I had watched until the very end of the season to figure out if I want to risk 50,000 Glint for the Modern leaderboard by playing any more and decided to stay at 4,000 point rating which earned me 50,000 Glint tokens and a position number 99 in the top 100. So I barely squeaked into to 100 in Modern Champion.

You can also see that I earned 75,000 Glint from the Survival leaderboard. That is a nice glint bonus, it also earned me 25 entries into the fortune draws, so it really does make sense to play in Survival Mode even though SPS earnings have been temporarily removed from Survival.

As far as my win rates, I am pretty happy with a 53% win rate in Modern, that is nothing to sneeze at and at least 3% above my target for my win rate. Naturally after ending in Modern Champion 2 this next season I will face a tougher competition from the start so I don't expect to have a win rate above fifty percent.

Most of my SPS earnings continue to come from my SPS Validator validating blocks, as you can see from the image below I am in eleventh position and just outside the top SPS validators:

My second top source of SPS is modern ranked rewards and staking rewards is a distant third despite having almost 750K SPS tokens staked:

I keep accumulating merits with the hope that new Gladiator cards are coming even though I have maxed out all of my Gladiator cards. And I have over half a million merits already accumulated:

When it comes to Glint tokens I am in a much better position than usual due to an extra 200,000 tokens earned from the Wild Leaderboard.

I have continued to spend vouchers on a really good card that is currently in the Vouchers shop: Conjurer's Hubris

Right now I have this card at level five and it is already usable, but at level six it gains an ambush ability which makes this card significantly better!

At level seven it gains three melee damage, but I don't think I will be able to acquire enough vouchers for that before the end of the sale...

🎁 Season Rewards

I got 22 Ultimate boxes from my League Advancement Season rewards, but as you will see below I have not gotten anything spectacular for these and that is why I usually do not purchase any Ultimate chests from the shop, because at 10,000 glint a chest these get expensive really fast!

As you can see I purchased as usual the full first tranche of Minor and Major chests from the shop, but I bought only one Ultimate chest. I know that odds are against me, but I like rolling the dice once in a while and I got one Ultimate chest this season. As usually it had nothing useful :)

I have not bought any of the Rarity Draws, perhaps eventually I will buy some Epic or Legendary draws, but right now I don't see the need to as I am accumulating cards naturally via the shop chests.

I have finally gotten a card in one of the fortune draw entries, it was a black foil which is great, but unfortunately it was not a very strong card and I already had a copy of exactly the same black foil card :)

Still at almost $17 value I will not complain about getting another Black foil Phlegmor :)
