My Favorite Conclave Arcana Rare Reward Card: Grove Doomblade

Introduction
When it comes to Conclave Arcana reward cards, I have one clear favorite in the Rare rarity cards: Grove Doomblade. This card is amazing in Reverse Speed ruleset as it has a speed of one, but it is pretty darn good even in regular rulesets and I will be sharing my recent Modern Diamond One League Battle where I used Grove Doomblade in a normal speed ruleset and where it played an important role in winning this battle.
Grove Doomblade

Grove Doomblade is a rare fire splinter Conclave Arcana reward card. It is one of the two rare Conclave Arcana reward cards that I have fully maxed out. The other rare rarity Conclave Arcana card that I have fully maxed out is Mindless Thrall. I have actually maxed out Mindless Thrall card first as I thought I would use it more as it is a neutral card and can be used with any splinter as well as in the ruleset where you can play only neutral cards. It didn't turn out quite that way and I find myself using Grove Doomblade more frequently.

This card is playable at any level as it starts off with a five melee damage and there are very few force shield cards in modern or at least I don't run into those very often.
Grove Doomblade has a few important levels, first of those is level four where it gains stun ability which is very useful and then level six where it goes to six melee damage and the last two levels. Level seven it goes to seven damage and level eight where it becomes particularly deadly as it gains Ambush ability where it strikes before the first round of the battle.
Rulesets
The rulesets I like using Grove Doomblade in are: Reverse Speed, Collateral Damage as well as Explosive Weaponry ruleset.
In the Reverse Speed ruleset Grove Doomblade fires first and has the lowest chance of missing so this card is a perfect choice for that ruleset.
In the Collateral Damage ruleset this card is good, because I like using highest damage monsters since every strike will deal damage to the adjacent friendly monsters and I might as well make every strike count.
This card is also perfect for the explosive weaponry ruleset as it deals very high damage to the adjacent enemy monsters.
The Battle
In addition to the three rulesets where I like using Grove Doomblade I also like using this reward card with a summoner that provides three monsters a blast ability: Nidhoggr
In this case I am featuring a battle where I used Nidhoggr and Grove Doomblade outside the three rulesets above:

As you can see in this case we have a fairly high mana ruleset where fifty five mana points are available. We have no ranged and no neutral monsters rulesets in effect which eliminates another one of my favorites with this summoner: Venka the Vile.
So my strategy for this battle was to use three high damage monsters: Grove Doomblade with seven melee damage, Dragon Egg Forager that has opportunity ability with five melee damage and Rage that has five magic damage and Life Leach ability.
In the front I placed a very formidable Oridum Graybrow that self resurrects and has a Spite ability where he retaliates to the monster that defeated him. And in the back I have Calamity a monster that has Last Stand ability and can become quite strong when it is the last card on the board.

In the ambush round Grove Doomblade scored a hit on the backline monster, but then in the first round it missed. This is where the speed of one is not always optimal under non-reverse speed rulesets. But let's keep watching the battle...

In the second round our Grove Doomblade not only scored a hit on Mahkah Hemlig, but it also scored a stun preventing it from firing its four magic opportunity hit in round three.

At the end of round three Grove Doomblade took out two enemy monsters resulting in the situation where we now have four monsters on the board against a single monster on the DannyPanda team!

This lead us to a win and over fifteen SPS tokens collected and Grove Doomblade played an important part in making this happen!

Grove doomblade was the game changer in this battle indeed. It made the remaining battle a dragon affair on your side after exiting the scene.Congratulations warrior.
Yep, and this is not even the best ruleset for Doomblade...
Please I love to know, which other rulesets it excels.I have it among my deck collections but rarely use it in battles. Probaly because I haven't maxed it yet.
