A GUIDE to MAXIMIZE YOUR REWARD POINTS - For anyone who wants to Play2Earn with the NEW Splinterlands UPDATE!

Where do I start?

Right, I need to establish credibility first, afterall I am writing a "GUIDE"

What a day of torture and misery, life's best teacher to make you better fast

I am not sure if I like the new format yet. All I can say is I do not enjoy the daily Splinter Fuckus so far. If it is one of your weaker splinter (because you don't have Yodin, and are up against legendary opponents), this is purgatory.

Focusing on daily fockus, ironically, may be detrimental to your ENTIRE SEASON. I am currently stuck in Gold II, with Diamond chests to open, oh the horror. And the Season Points and Focus Points in Gold are not sufficient to accumulate Diamond chest efficiently. Last end of season rewards were bad enough, this season may be even worse if I don't even get sufficient number of chests to open at the rate things are going (yes, I know, it's only the first day - keep reading)

On top the Capture Rate is decreasing rapidly even if you don't win, in my case, with slightly more losses than wins due to focusing on the daily fockus on a bad splinter, the odds are stacking against me. Maybe I need to sell my lambo and go all in on Splinterland to stand a chance? Is that even enough???

What IS the Strategy to MAXIMIZE REWARD POINTS???

After suffering through this atrosity and with much reflection, I have learned a valuable lesson. Lambo fund alone is not enough, to really maximize the Reward Points every season, it actually takes dedication and patience.

I have to own up to my failure today. I did not practice the virtues I preach. The first mistake was lack of patience, and the second mistake was I never planned to be dedicated when I started playing Splinterlands. The casual aspect lured me to this game, how wrong was I?

Let me explain:

To maximize return with this new format especially this early in the season, in addition to buying all the OP cards at outrageous prices (now) from Alpha and Beta players, the dominant strategy, mathematically, is to keep Capture Rate near 100%, or you will be like me, getting 25% less points, or worse, after every deserving victories! There is no joy when the game rips off your winnings by 25% or more :(

Back to my points earlier, you need to be dedicated, play every hour, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, forever. AND you need to be patient, you can only play one game until your Capture Rate is back to 100%.

How do you go on about your life? My buddy asked me as I was writing up this guide. What do you mean life, THIS IS LIFE!

Of course in this day and age, we have gadgets to keep us dedicated. After selling the lambo and investing the proceeds in Splinterlands, the remaining lunch money for the next few months will now pay for that popular watch brand with the logo of a fruit that almost killed Snow White. It is supposed to annoy the hell out of you to stand up every hour, that's exactly what we need here!

It will help you be dedciated 24/7, stand up and battle! Good for your health, and you will gain the super human ability of nightly power naps in 57 minute increments, and maybe @HiveBuzz will award you with "Splinterlands 57/3 NFT" badge.

Conclusion:

With this update, this is now truly "Play2Earn". And may your dedication to 24/7 hourly gaming pay off handsomely.

IMPORTANT: Don't be the loser below, keep your capture rate at a reasonable level :)

Hope you enjoyed this rant, and no, I do not have a lambo, never had a lambo, and do not want a lambo :)

You make some very good points. For me too, this season seems messed up from the start.
I will definitely stay in silver this season and hope it will get better next season. If not, I will have to cash out as long as I'm still in the black.

The groups/guilds I play with seem to favor beating up ECR initially (early season) to get rating up, then adjust into a steady groove for maximizing reward shares. Will definitely monitor. Good insights.
